Woo hoo, the people have spoke. And they do not like socialism.
Amen to that one!
Well the people have spoken. I saw a bumper sticker today that says it all. It read "I will keep my guns, my money, and my freedoms. You can have THE CHANGE." I hope that all Americans will now realize that this country does NOT want the Obama policies!!! It is refreshing to see the Republican party take back some more ground that we lost. I hope that this trend will continue. I tell everyone I can that we need the wisdom of the Republican party. I also say to all of you at TCU keep up the good work. This will be a hard fight, but, if we keep a positive attitude we can move any mountain that the Democrats put in front of us!!!!
Dangerous Victory

This is a dangerous victory for the Republicans. I am glad to see that they picked up a couple of
state governor spots but it was nothing to do with the victors themselves. It was more a vote against the incumbents for their stupid policies that hurt people directly such as raising tolls and local property taxes.

They are victories nonetheless. The Republicans still need to purge the pseudo Republicans from their midst if they are to be distinguishable from the (loathsome) Democrats. My fear is that Republicans will never grow real spines and that this victory will drive the Democrats to lower lows in order to implement their agenda of incremental socialism. Republican should identify with individual freedom and individual integrity, distancing themselves from anyone that supports any ideas of curtailing any rights to free speech, gun rights, or freedom of expression. Anyone opposed to these values should be slammed hard, long, and continuously until they are gone. For example Chris Matthews and the ilk on MSNBC have been a constant torrent of leftist propaganda even making death threats against conservative speakers yet there was no follow through by the right to remove him from his podium.
maybe they will listen now this is just the beginning, conservatives are coming out to be heard, the White House and Pelosi laugh at us at the tea parties, but you guys are next, especially Pelosi
There is justice. Way to go conservatives.
Support conservative candidates regardless if they are republican party members or conservative party.

GOP Sweep Imperils Obamacare

Chris Christie's gutsy win in New Jersey puts the arrogant big spender Jon Corzine in his place. But it is the election in Virginia that probably has more to say to marginal Democratic congressmen who are considering how to vote on health care reform.

Obviously Christie's victory is a body blow to Obama after Corzine outspent the Republican by 5:1. Corzine's defeat sends a message that the nation is moving sharply against Obama.

But it is the Virginia results that are the most important. More than 80 Democratic congressmen and 20 senators come from states that McCain carried in 2008. For them, the sudden switch in Virginia, a swing state that Obama actually carried, heralds tough political times ahead.

New Jersey is the quintessential blue state. If it goes Republican, blue-state congressmen need not worry. Their districts are likely still safe. But when a Republican in Virginia wins by twenty points, it sends a message to red-state Democratic Congressmen to take cover.

Polls indicate a declining level of popular approval of the Obama policies (Rasmussen shows his job approval at 46 percent), but to see actual Democrats losing or barely squeaking out victories in solidly blue states sends a far clearer message to the Democrats in Congress.

Until last night, Democratic moderates, the so-called blue dogs, could bask in the light of their candidate’s success in 2008. But now, they must hear hoof beats behind them.

The party discipline on which Obama depends to pass a healthcare program that Americans reject by 55 to 42 percent (Rasmussen again) will only work if beleaguered Democratic congressional incumbents can wrap themselves in Obama’s cloak and tough out the popular criticism. But the limits of Obama’s drawing power are readily apparent in the Republicans’ 20-point victory in Virginia and the race in New Jersey.

In the coming weeks, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Majority Leader Harry Reid will be asking their troops to cast potentially career-ending votes for healthcare changes, medicare cuts, higher taxes, and fines on the uninsured. Whether they cast those votes depends on their faith in Obama’s drawing power.

But, the votes in Virginia, in particular, show the limits of Obama’s appeal. The new governor, Bob McDonnell won the Attorney General’s race in the last election by a few tenths of a percent over the same opponent. Now, to coast to so huge a victory in the swing state of Virginia has to send a message to red-state Democratic congressmen: Obama may be able to survive in the deep water into which he is leading his party, but you can’t.

The election of 2009 is far more than a contest for two governorships. It is really more in the nature of a British by-election, sending a signal of how the public is reacting to Obama’s radical agenda. Red State Democratic congressman should take heed.

We need to please pray for Hoffman in NY23 race. 68% of the vote is in, we can still win. Hoffman is at 46 % and Owens the Dem is at 49%. The Tea Party conservative needs to win this to show the politicians that it is NOT politics as usual.
Christie won and I have never been so happy about a NJ Governor election in over 40 years!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! HOLD ON TO YOUR HATS......WE ARE IN FOR A RIDE OF OUR LIVES!!!!
71% of the precincts are in NY23- Please pray for Hoffman to pull ahead, race too close to call.
