In what way has socialism worked well? Define worked well and then provide the data to back up this claim. That was your challenge for conservatives elsewhere in this thread. Apply that standard to yourself.
By the way, I posted real data there that shows socialism is NOT WORKING WELL in Europe. I define working well as creating jobs and economic growth. By that measure it is failing in Europe. Moreover, the socialist countries are backing away from benefits because they can't afford them and these systems are unsustainable. France's recent raising of the retirement age is an example of that.
Where is your data? Please provide it rather than your opinions. -

As I already said, Socialism cannot be defended under the rule and guidelines of our Constitution! Period. End of story. Socialism has been a dismal failure in Europe - and even Europeans are readily admitting that now. Government control of private industries and the Free Market is unconstitutional - pure and simple. What part of that do you still not understand?
Big Government is not the solution but the problem. Everything Obama has done to this country is pushing us further under Socialism and further away from our Constitution. His record speaks for itself, and Conservatives are not idiots or sheep that can't see the handwriting on the wall. You are wasting your breath trying to defend the Obamacrats and their sorry record in Washington . . . . go back to MoveOn.org with your propaganda. We aren't drinking your kool-aid!

If we were to follow the ideals this country was founded on, these programs would not have even been established. They were forged in the fires of desperation by a flaming progressive named Franklin Delano Roosevelt in the murky waters of a country in dire straights. Like Rahm Emmanuel says "don't let a crisis go to waste", Right? This is a tactic that preceded EVERY failed democracy in history before its inevitable fall! That's why our founders formed a CONSTITUTIONAL (Bi-Cameral) REPUBLIC! To avoid the folly of the corruption of power that results from a direct response to a nations immediate emotional response.

Yes, the "New black panthers" (butt heads) did do that. They went to a polling place and aggressively threatened voters, in a blatant RACIST fasion, with deadly weapons, and were given a pass on those crimes by the liberal democrats in power. Can YOU explain why these hideous CRIMINALS are not in JAIL??
If a conservative had done that they would be in somebody's jail.!!
AND do not try to tell me a "batton" is not a deadly weapon. I am a vet and I know how someone could be killed in a single stroke with one.
Liberals have suspend students, from school, for a badly drawn picture of a "gun" under the pretense that the image constituted having a gun in school!?!?!? Can you explain that??

Dan---- Apparently America has not had enough of liberalism, for the Republicans do not hold a substantial majority in the House and the Dems still hold the Senate following the election. Further, most political observers have noted that the American public is rather dissatisfied with both wings of the political spectrum.
During the last fifty years, which incllude most of my old life, most of the Presidencies have been held by Republicans, so I doubt that the despised liberals, like myself, have been able to single-handedly destroy this great nation.

It is simple: Stand up for what is right and just in our country. Uphold what our founding fathers put forth in the Constituion. Most people that are liberal do not stand for much that I have encountered.When one does not stand for something you will fall for anything as the saying goes. I wish everyone (that truly cared) could read about Sal Alinksy and the way he has trained people to be progressives. Hllary Clinton was offered a job with him, but decided to go on to Yale. She will tell you that she loved Sal Alinsky and his progressive movement. Obummer studied his blue print for socialism, and if one has been educating themselves they would see exactly what he is doing. Now, with Republicans having a majority in the House, we can stop some of this progressive mess that is UNAMERICAN! UNCONSTITUTIONAL!
