Thanks to you guys for sharing your knowlege and wisdom. In my opinion, what makes a patriot a patriot is simply that sometimes-vague, sometimes-clear feeling - no, KNOWING - that there exists basic 'things' (i.e. individual liberties like in our Declaration & Constitution!?!?) that ALL humans are entitled to and when we sense a threat from them, most usually in the form of some ruling power, we intuitively understand that is a travesty against human existence. How can ANYONE (yes, you liberal, progressive, left-leaning (D)-supporting @#%!) refute who is for America and who is not?
Nice. Conservative principles, such as given us by the Founders, are compassionate. There is no need, George Bush, to talk about compassionate conservatives.
Our first, overwhelmingly elected (who GRUDGINGLY accepted as citizen statesmen then stepped down on completing his task):

"The preservation of the sacred fire of liberty, and the destiny of the republican model of government, are justly considered as deeply, perhaps as finally, staked on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American People."-George Washington, First Inaugural Address, April 30, 1789
On State control of private industry:

"It is very imprudent to deprive America of any of her privileges. If her commerce and friendship are of any importance to you, they are to be had on no other terms than leaving her in the full enjoyment of her rights." --Benjamin Franklin, Political Observances

Scary, isn't it Miles?

NO! NO! Don't get up, silly! How can you have any pudding if you don't et yer meat!?!?
FYI this is not an English class. Miles doesn't seem to know that. More classic liberal/lame attempts to minimalize others for no good reason.

This is too easy. You really need to read a real history book sometime.

The democrats have given us many things. Most of which are intentionally anti American.
1 The Klu Klux Klan There is a shining star.
2 senator Jim Crow Real good example of the democrat agenda.
3 The never ending war on black Americans Thanks to democrat Jim Crow and all the democrats since then.
4 The free pass on saying stupid things and telling lies to the USA as a whole as though they were some kind of truth
5 Consistently democrats are the most anti American elected officials in history

This list is miles long but I don't have that much time on another uninformed.

If you want to know the more complete list of crimes the democrats are perpetuating on the black citizens of the USA go to www.nbra.info and read them for yourself!

There are none so blind as those that will not see.
You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

I am always astonished at how many people knee-jerk repeat the democrat's BS.
Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over... see?

I am sorry Miles. You are the first one to say such a racists comment. There is not a racists bone in me and when I say I want us to take our country back, I mean to stop the progressive , socialists agenda. America was not built for a global, socialists country. We are all free and to bring up race is ignorant.Maybe YOU are the one that is racists!! Are you from Huffington Post! I do not want to read anything on TCUnation that is racists, so take your wrong ideas to Chris Matthews or Joy Beher!
Eternal Vigilance!

A LITTLE HISTORY ON, ( THE KKK ). This is what I received from a History friend of mine.

As a history teacher, here's what is told to my class ....
It's World War II....Elenore Roosevelt urges FDR to include Blacks...He names several Blacks to different positions within his administration and has a group of Black advisers that become known as the Black Cabinet. Next election...Blacks began changing to the Democratic party because Democrat FDR is showing concern...the number of people who support FDR begins to increase even more....FDR (at the urging of Elenore) calls for Blacks to trained as pilots and requires them to be commissioned officers (mean while all the services are training pilots, some are officers and some are enlisted)...FDR also ensures that Benjamin O. Davis is promoted to become the first Black general. FDR dies and Truman becomes president...by Executive Order he desegregates the military. Even more Blacks begin joining the Democratic party. Along comes JFK and then LBJ. LBJ was personally responsible for the largest welfare/support system and most Blacks in America are now Democrats.

KKK? After the Civil War the Blacks joined the Republican party....whether or not they were allowed to vote because the Republicans were the party (at that time) to end slavery. The Democratic leadership targeted the Blacks because they had gained power....you see...the reason so many Blacks were elected to office was that until the Radical Republicans began to fade away, Southern Democrats who were allowed to vote were few and far between. The White Republicans were few...one-third of Tennessee did have white Republicans and even elected a few to office after the Civil War, but overall, it was an easy victory for Black Republicans. Reconstruction ended in 1878 and no other Blacks were elected to office for another 74 years. With the end of Reconstruction came the right to vote once again for the majority of Southerners and they voted Democratic. It wasn't until the civil rights movements of the 50s and 60s that Blacks again were able to vote, but with the slick moves of the Democrats in the 40s, the vast majority of Blacks had switched parties.

What do I think of the video?.....There is always some hype in all these political videos, but what they are saying seems to be very close to the truth. There is a parallel in the decline of the KKK and the rise in the number of Black Democrats. Kind of supports the idea that as Blacks began "voting Democrat" the violence shown by the KKK declined.

There is also the story that LBJ came up with "welfare" to make Blacks both thankful and dependent to the Democratic party. The story says that LBJ was a very bright man and figured out how to keep a large number of Blacks down and out by making welfare programs easy, and would take the "redneck..hillbilly" with them. There are several Blacks who are writing about it now. I have not read the books yet, but I might get around to it soon.

Any of this helpful?

Oh...P.S.....on the subject of the Civil War....one item that is not mentioned very often is the extreme prejudice found in the North. The reason the North was anti-slavery was not a noble one...it was economic. If slavery were to exists in an industrial North, it would cause hundred of thousands, if not millions to loose their jobs to slaves who could do the work at a very low cost to the owners. By ending slavery, Blacks had to compete for jobs along side of Whites. White owners would hire Whites before they would Blacks. In terms of prejudice, the North actually was more prejudice than the South...even to this day. I hate it when some liberal Democrat tries to act so high and mighty...tells me they don't know their history.

I don't claim to be smarter, but I do claim to think twice and try to think straight. I hope this helps. I respect you for checking things out...I am assuming you also asked others. You can look up everything, but making sense of it is sometimes hard. As a history teacher, I do have access to how other people have put 2 + 2 together. It was hard to find a textbook this last time did not "ring of liberalism". I wanted a straight forward, here are the facts, type book. I always tell the kids that my lectures and ideas are not the holy grail of history and I want them to check it out for themselves. If I am wrong, show me. I will listen.
I know little of history, but I suspect that some of the integration FDR caused during WW-II in the military effort helped Democrats gain loyalty from the black community. It is worth fitting into this model.
I am almost 60. I don't remember history classes very well as I was not interested then. In the last 25 years I have more than made up for that.
In the course of my job I met a Tuskeegee Airman Colonel. He wanted to watch me work and in the ensuing conversation I asked him how he knew so much about radial airplane engines. He then asked if I knew of the Tuskeegee Airmen. I said "no". He said he was not surprised since they were typically glossed over in most history classes. So he told me the story while I did my job. His story was fascinating and informative. Not long after that I saw the movie about the "red tails". It was just the same story the colonel told me.
It is so rare that you get to meet the people that made history so well.
It is a fond memory. I have unfortunately forgotten his name. But it was clear from his telling of the story that the name of an individual is not as important as the accomplishments of the unit.

They knew they were looked down upon because they were black and thus had to excell to show they were, in fact, not inferior. They succeeded in spades! (No pun, or poke, intended.)
By the end of ww2 they were the only fighters to have successfully defended ALL of the bombers they escorted. All the bombers, flying with the "red tails", came back. And only a few of the "red tails" were lost.

They went from being shunned to being the first requested fighters to go on bombing runs!

I love history also.I have always been one to check out what ever I am told or what I read. When I listen to a sermon I will look up every scripture to know what the minister is preaching is truth. I have always done this. This is one way I get answers to questions. When it comes to my freedom and my country then I want to learn every tidbit possible. This is why educating onesself about our great Constitution is paramount. How can you defend something you know nothing about? This also goes back to the "bills" that have been passed, but not read! They are inept as representatives of a state if they do not read before they pass or turn it down. Hopefully, this is going to change!!!
I know of 2,700 pages of a certain bill they did not read. Ya know, out here, we are real smart. We seem to have all the answers. It would seem to me now that we have all the facts, WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ABOUT IT. Are we going to act??? How are we going to act? When are we going to act? And last but not least, ARE ANY OF US DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT?
