40 Percent of Democrats Saying They're Unlikely to Vote, or Certain to Not Vote in 2010

National Review:

The folks at Daily Kos finds something "shocking" in their regular polling:

QUESTION: In the 2010 Congressional elections will you definitely vote, probably vote, not likely vote, or definitely will not vote?

The results were, to put it mildly, shocking:

Voter Intensity: Definitely + Probably Voting/Not Likely + Not Voting

Independent Voters: 65/23
DEMOCRATIC VOTERS: 56/40

Two in five Democratic voters either consider themselves unlikely to vote at this point in time, or have already made the firm decision to remove themselves from the 2010 electorate pool. Indeed, Democrats were three times more likely to say that they will "definitely not vote" in 2010 than are Republicans . . .

Look at the bright side here, folks! If we can't get these disillusioned Democrats to vote Republican, we might be able to get them to vote for some truly Conservative Independents !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think Sarah Palin will and has reached many of them. Both those informed enough to know of her history of being a reformer and those women (and men) sickened by the attacks on Sarah and her family.
But if Sarah runs for the Republican ticket, a lot of these disenfranchised Democrats won't vote for her period because it would be a vote for the GOP! Animosities between Dem's and Repub's run deeper than the animosities between Dem's and Independents. If we pushed this just right, and got these Dem's onboard with the Conservative Independent candidates, that would still be a major win for all Conservatives!!!
Are you talking about a third party? Conservative Independents?
