When I look at the pics of everyone there and all the other tea parties - I have one thing to tell Chairman Maobama - we all paid our own way to where ever we met for a 9/12 tea party. We did not have to make the USA spend $600,000.00 so you could skip out of town to fly to Minneapolis and then probably use tax money to bribe the few that came to your speech. You are a coward that you would not stay and face the music. I wonder how many of congress were in town that day? We know that Jim Demint and Mike Pence were. They were there with the folks that went to Washington. But I bet the queen of the house and the dunce of the senate were out of town. We also know that Idiot Gibbs had to have been with Obama and David Axelrod too. If they had stayed and faced the truth they would have seen the what it is to be a freedom loving American.
You know as it was recently blurted out to BO...YOU LIE!
Nicolas, where is Lawndale as far as Long Beach is concerned? We (LA County) had come together with OC at the Federal Bldg between 3-5 pm. It was fabulous. The speakers, the people, the signs, all of it. I have started a site at Long Beach Patriots. What you can do if you don't where there's a Tea Party happening, go to Tea Party Patriots.

That's why I haven't been posting as often as I used to. I've just been so daggone busy! You can always start up a Tea Party yourself! That's why I did on April 15, July 4th, July 17th, August 14th, and I went to the one in Sacramento on the 28th of August and the one we just had.

Never let up. Never quit. Never say never (oops!). We need to lift each other up, not tear each other down. I'm gratful we do not do that here. God bless everyone!

Government takeover of healthcare, cap & trade, enslavement through future indebtedness.
I was at the 9.12 rally and the crowds were endless, even one mile away from the capitol. This had to be the largest protest since ML King. Seriously no spin – everyone was from out of town, regular folk, young, old, wheelchairs, kids. Not hostile, it was like a huge 4th of July celebration. Sad part is that this GIGANTIC story is being ignored by the state run media. The park police estimates were in excess of 1.2 million patriots.

I hope you are right John but I question your sources, as the National Park Police are no longer authorized to estimate crowd size. Are you sure of this or has the rules changed without my knowledge?
If not the park police, then who? None of the MSM are speaking up. No one is saying boo about the size, so I'd be fine with going with their experience. The day of, ABC was admitting 60-70,000, so you know it had to be far larger than that. Most of the (very minimal) coverage I've seen simply says tens of thousands, and has since that afternoon. Clearly, no effort to guestimate.
The National Park Service hasn't given estimates since the Million Man March. The District of Columbia Fire Department made an unofficial estimate of the 9/12 crowd at about 70,000. The estimates from other sources ranged from 60,000 to 2 million.

A Boston University professor who is an expert in crowd estimates put the number at 75,000. This same professor estimated the crowd for the Million Man March at 850,000 when the organizers estimated 1.5 to 2 million.

Crowd estimates will fluctuate with the number and agenda of those who do the estimation. You can pick a number you like, go with an expert, or accept the reality that nobody really knows.

What really matters is there were numbers large enough to make an impact on policy and agenda. I believe the 9/12 Project was a success regardless of the media hype or the exact number of participants.
If you look at the article in USAtoday from just prior to the inaugeration it shows a diagram with a hover-over feature on how they estimated for that event. You're right that they stopped estimating after the controversy over the low number they estimated for the million-man march- but they came out and did in fact give an estimate of the Obama inaugeration. The diagram of how they determine it is priceless. Since we were all there we can easily see that we filled the spaces indicated.

Angela- Thank you for posting this article about measuring the size of a crowd.

Of course, what is important is that the 9-12 March on DC was organised on independent Websites and that that network will again be available when the administration trys to pass another "Amnesty" for the illegal immigrants.

Many Americans will be surprised at how much political influence illegal immigrants have from city hall, Click Underlined Link:

All the Way-Up to the White House
Tim and I left on Wednesday night and drove the 900 miles out to Washington D.C. At 8:00 a.m. Saturday a.m. we met with others at Freedom Square where we were going to listen to speakers and line up for the march down Pennsylvania Avenue starting at 11:30 a.m. People kept coming from every which way and there were so many, that the Capitol Police told are group to start marching at 10:00 a.m.

As we made our way down toward the Capitol, thousands of people were still joining us. The program on the Capitol grounds was not supposed to start until 1:00 p.m., but started early because so many people were already there on the lawns.

They were completely around the reflecting pool and down the mall and kept coming all day. We became tired about 3 p.m. and started walking back, and people were still coming; even busses were still arriving. The media is lying about the # of people there-that much I can tell you. And the Capitol police ARE able to estimate crowds with aerial views-because they did that for Obama's inauguration.

I don't know how many people were there, but I have never seen that many people gathered in one place. They were Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Constitutionalists all there with one goal. To make sure Congress, the Senate and the President know we want them out of of our business! No more bailouts, no federalized healthcare, no cap and trade. Just stay the hell out of our lives, and we are able to take care of ourselves.

On our way home, we drove a bit out of our way to go to Shanksville, Pennsylvania to pay respects to the people of Flight 93 who knowingly risked their own lives to save many others. It was sobering standing over that empty field, and seeing all of the personal items people left there. Rosaries, crosses, dolls and teddy bears, for the children.

We can no longer stand back and let our country be run by greedy politicians. It is time to clean house. In fact, we joined Flip this House to kick the no-goods out of Congress in 2010 and to get back to the roots of our constitution. Please join at www.flipthishouse2010.com.

If you feel the same way, please be sure to call your congressperson and senator's offices and let them know.
