You have stumbled into what, in my opinion, is the basis of the conservative movement. Having a set standard that we try to live by, by the ability and freedom to judge for yourself what you feel is right. I don;t know much about Ann Coulter, but what I have heard from her and read a little, I really like. Billy Hollowell, I don;t know at all, know nothing about him. All i can say is research it, listen to them with an open heart and let the spirit (I am a born again christian) lead you toward the truth. Many people are educated idiots and are supporting a group just for looks or to fill an agenda. Judge for yourself, the truth will not return to you void.
Take care, and God Bless you

She is not for everyone but I think she is very smart and I love the way she throws liberals' BS right back in their faces. I think a lot of liberals hate her because by all intensive purposes she should be a liberal, she has all the traits of prominent liberals. (Ivy league law degree, thin, rich) A lot of promient conservatives dislike her because she is confrontational and they don't want to be, they all just want to play nice and hold hands. But most of them don't realize that liberals don't play nice. They attack and destroy people at all costs. Look at Miss California. If she would have said she supports gay marriage she would have won. Now because she has faith and an opinion based on her faith she is going to be destroyed. They are talking about taking her crown and everything. It's sad liberals don't have a credible argument so they attack the messenger. Keith Olberman's whole career is based off of that. And Ann if one of the few that puts them on the defensive.

I admire her outspoken demeanor and strength. I am unfamiliar with the other individual, Mr. Hallowell, and the only reason conceivable of his dislike for her may be her uncanny ability (as a woman) to deliver the truth in a forthright and unapologetic manner, and we know sometimes "the truth hurts," but so be it.

I became fascinated by Ann when I first saw an appearance she made on Fox News. Since then I have been all ears. She is very opinionated, and is not afraid to share her beliefs. On the other side sometimes I think she says and does things for attention, but usually when she speaks, I listen. Not really sure of the other fellow. Ann makes numerous appearances on the Hannity and O'Reilly shows and has had many New York Times Bestsellers. As I started to follow her more I decide to read one of her books, which may give a little more insight. I read "If Democrats had any Brains, they'd be Republicans", and what a great read it was. She says that she does all her own research, and it might be hard to find people like that these days. She also has her own newspaper column . I searched the web about her, and was able to find plenty of information. Another point is that she isn't afraid to go up against a Liberal. Anyway I enjoy listening to her, hope this helps.

Kennedy on May 22, 2009 at 9:19pm Ann Coulter can be a bit harsh, and many people do find her offensive...that being said, I personally love her--she takes no prisoners and can dish it out as good as they give it. I think Matt is on to something, the left especially hates people that are conservatives, but they think should be liberal, e.g. anyone but a straight white male. Look at how they treated Michael Steel when he spoke at that college--they booed and threw oreo cookies at him! The whole point of conservatism is freedom, you should be free to "follow" anyone you like--don't let Billy or anyone else tell you what to do. The problem with our cause is this, we have a lot of people with very different viewpoints on various subjects, however, just like "Bush derangement syndrome" bonded all the pinko commies together, perhaps opposition to the losses of freedom will bond us!

Permalink Reply by Pamela D. Kennedy on May 23, 2009 at 10:03am Hi, Pamela-
I've read Ann Coulter and watched her tv appearances in the past, but quit probably 8 or 9 months ago, due simply to the fact that she seems far more interested in being "provocative" than informative. I think she has a far greater intellect than she lets on, and the reason she underplays that, I believe, is so she wont alienate that portion of her audience which is not so politically astute as her.
She is making a mint at her racket, so I suppose there's no reason to change the formula, but it is that very formulaic quality of her delivery that eventually left me feeling bored when watching her.
Enjoy your stay at TCU.
