Boehner Condemns Attack on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords
I am horrified by the senseless attack on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and members of her staff. An attack on one who serves is an attack on all who serve. Acts and threats of violence against public officials have no place in our society. Our prayers are with Congresswoman Giffords, her staff, all who were injured, and their families. This is a sad day for our country

I believe in God. I love my country. I get knots in my stomach over the attitudes of some of my countrymen. We have our military fighting, thousands of miles away. They are trying to disrupt a cycle of violence that we as a country have condemned as counter productive. I am a Christain. Phelps considers himself a "good" Christain. Can you imagine what a person from another religious background might have when he says the vile things that he says.
God gives each of us "talents". For instance; The man with the "golden voice' has a "talent". For those of you that read the Bible, you are probably discerning what I am saying. The man with the "golden voice", put his talent "under a stone", and there it lie buried. And he suffered, like Job. Now.. The stone has been lifted from his talent.. The only way that he can revive his talent, is to change his ways. He is now suffering shock..because he cannot recieve his blessing because he has lost a good bit of his discernment along the way. There are angels on Earth. Some are good, some are evil. The good angels are charged with instill the proper discernment for this man to realize that he to is charged with using his talent and inspiration to uplift Gods purpose. The evil angels perpetuate lies,greed, and confusion. We all are charged with something:
" if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

I think your correct for the most part AM. But, those with the 'golden tongue' normaly have two faces and always one goal, to divide & deceive for control! When i hear a lie...it's always just that. A lie! I have little need/use for those that sell lies and hide the truth, they carry the stench of their agenda....which is total control. And will never control a child of GOD!

I've tried to keep the conversation on this obvious tragedy a neutral one, but, you know what!? That's BS!!! The LIBERAL LEFT repeadedly reacts with knee-jerk pieces WITHOUT ANY PROOF over and over and over! They come right out, each and every time, saying "...there's no proof yet, but..." or "...though both sides condemn..." then follow with wholesale theories of condemnation for conservative, tea party and Constitutional supporters as if THOSE are the wrong ideals to support in America!?!? No, but AM you certainly don't depict the TEA Party movement in any kind light, either, by putting up videos that are of the most hideous examples of low-life. It is doubtful that these jerks would identify with the TEA Party -- and certainly the patriots from all over America that do would have no use for them.
I am not a TEA Party member ... as there isn't really such. But I do support the overwhelming points they stand on.
I'm just trying to figure out your agenda, here on the site A.M. What is it you are wanting to accomplish. It seems that you always take the more liberal side of any argument, and you misrepresent the conservative view over and over. I'm not sure where that is "finding common ground".
I'm really trying to be fair in all of this ... so tell us all. Just what is it you are wanting to find for yourself on TCUnation? Or maybe you could tell us what platform you think conservative candidates should embrace ... aside from supporting this prez and many of his decisions. (I can assure you that most of us are NOT going there ... ).

That's nice, but it doesn't mean a thing. Depending upon the situation your conscience can be wrong. Bigger government or smaller government is not a question of conscience, it is a question of results and objectives. It makes not sense that you are here because your conscience tells you it is right.
The question Dave has asked therefore remains, "What is it you are wanting to find for yourself here?"

Not if you were raised right by good parents AM. Sure i did things that i wished to re-do...or been in a different gear for sure. Big difference in climbing a steep hill & launching off of one! It was a test of skill that others didn't pass as well or complete at all. It's like what Clint Eastwood said in one of the Dirty Harry movies..." a man's gotta know his limitations"! To bad the government hasn't learned that one...yet. Please, if a voice tells ya to buy a gun...DON'T! Re-read Harry's quote again.

By contrast did you look at the transcript of Obama's statement? I found it bizarre. From the 5th paragraph, "It’s not surprising that today Gabby was doing what she always does -- listening to the hopes and concerns of her neighbors. That is the essence of what our democracy is all about. That is why this is more than a tragedy for those involved. " My problem with this statement is that people are killed, including soldiers, who are doing their job -- just as Senator Gibbons was. But somehow, according to Obamalogic, this was more than a tragedy because she was talking to people. That is a strange thought and it seems to me belittling to everyone who is killed and is not a politician. This is not an American thought it seems to me.
Or the previous paragraph "She is not only an extraordinary public servant, but she is also somebody who is warm and caring." The first thought was that she was a public servant and the second thought was that she was warm and caring. This is backwards. She was a good person FIRST and s public servant SECOND. This is evidence that Obama views those working for the government as superior somehow to others.
At the end of the 3rd paragraph we have " I’ve also spoken to the Democratic and Republican leaders in the House." To which I say, so what?
This guy needs a better speech writer to go along with his world class teleprompter.

Mike, to be completely honest, I have not read Mr. Obama's transcripts. To be frank, I'm not interested in what Mr. Obama has to say. To say that he has been a disastrous President, thus far in his tenor, is an understatement.
If I saw another photo-op of him eating an ice-shave in Hawaii over the holidays, I was going to break my monitor. I couldn't shake the guy - he was EVERYWHERE I went on the Internet. Why news organizations think we Americans are interested in what Mr. Obama does on a daily basis is beyond me.

I agree and I agree. As it happened on Saturday, I was up and out early for a fishing trip in 20 degree weather in the middle of nowhere. On the way back I dialed Fox on the Sirius and this was going on. So I listened, including Obama's statement. It sounded strange on the radio so I read it when I can back and it seemed even more strange.
But hey, you don't have to read it when you have me to pan it.
