Ok, TCUnation we have less than 1 year before the 2010 elections. We all know the importance of these elections.

It's time to start focusing on our district (representative) and if applicable our state (senator) elections. The first shots of the battle were fired in the 2009 election with conservatives coming out on top. I believe in 2010 WE can begin to take our country back.

We need to start a "boots on the ground" movement to educate people about what the current administration is doing to OUR country. Right now when you post an article on TCUnation you are "preaching to the choir". It's time to reach out.

So...
I am going to open up group creation to District and Local levels.

Why a Group?
A group offers lots of features you can use to provide information via web or email.
One of the greatest features of TCUnation groups is the fact you can email all members of that group, so it can be used as a mailing list. Obviously you can have a forum and offer news and information on candidates. The main idea though behind these groups is a "Boots on the Ground" approach. Talk to your neighbors, family, business owners. Get them involved.

What we need though are LEADERS to run these groups. These groups will NOT exist unless we have members who are willing to step forward and take the lead. You can even for a team to run a group. One might moderate, another promote, another gather news. It really requires very little time though you can spend as much as you like. A hour or so week or few minutes a day will get results.

Group Setup
District - Information on that congressional district. If you would like to lead your district contact me and I will set it up.
Local - Many of you already attend local groups. If you would like to add a local group, ex; (Birmingham Area Conservatives) contact me and we will get you setup.

Other ideas for local and district groups-
-create a team to promote your group
-point a domain name (mygroup.com) to that group (I can help with that)
-use the "Message All Members" function effectively
-link to local candidates website, voting record, etc...
-create satellite groups on facebook and myspace
-meet in person!
-create business cards to hand out
-write feature articles to post on TCUnation homepage
-several people can lead a group, design it the way you like

If we get enough Local and District groups going I will start a Local and District Leader Group, so group leaders can discuss ideas.

That being said I am going to leave it to YOU. Groups are a very powerful feature of TCUnation.

as always - THERE IS STRENGTH IN NUMBERS!

He probably will but it will not stand up in any court of law. The only way he could sign that would be with a majority vote from congress and he does not have the votes for that because it would include Pubs.
Earl,
The solution is to have the conservative members of TCU, ResistNet.com, the Tea Party groups, the 912 groups, and all other conservative groups to get involved in party politics. If we all invaded the Republican Party, and became voting members of it -- precinct committeemen -- we could HIJACK the Republican Party. We could ensure that the BEST conservative candidate would win the primary elections and go on to stand before all the voters in the general election. And we could elect conservatives leaders in the Party leadership positions.

Go here to learn more: www.theprecinctproject.wordpress.com

This has already been achieved in Clark County, Nevada. Click on the Nevada link to read the story of what happened. The Republican Party conservative incumbents won't even tell you about this because THEY FEAR GETTING THROWN OUT IN THE PRIMARY, TOO.

It is now time to set aside whatever petty differences we have and UNITE in a single political party. The BEST hammer in our political tool box is the Republican Party. HALF of its precinct committeeman slots are vacant. We conservatives could take it over TOMORROW if we all got in contact with our local GOP and told them we want to volunteer to become a precinct committeeman (every state has a different system and it might be called something else in your state). The half that are filled are split about 50-50 between moderates/liberals and conservatives. We could change that ratio to 75-25 in favor of conservatives if we just joined it.

Remember Janet Contreras of "The Letter" fame on Glenn Beck's show. She's now a Republican Party precinct committeeman here in Maricopa County, AZ.

Remember "Susan in Glendale," the caller on Rush? She's now a Republican Party precinct committeeman in CA. www.susaninglendale.com

We don't need any more structures or groups. We need political party activism. Get involved in the real ball game of politics -- party politics. Help HIJACK the Republican Party so we conservatives can use it as our political tool to replace as many of the socialists in power as possible. As well as the RINOs.

We need to UNITE conservatives in the one structure that already exists and take it over. United we stand, divided we fall. Let's UNITE!

Thank you.

American first, conservative second, Republican precinct committeemen BY NECESSITY!
I agree, POWER IN NUMBERS. Here in Florida there have been about 8000 RSVP's for the Tea Party Express stop this week. Even though the press is ignoring us, they are paying attention. (Anita Dunn is out as of todays reports on Fox.) We need to get the smaller groups to join in those events and unite as a whole. I also feel that the bigger the crowds, the less intimidated our fellow conservatives will be and will also join us. This will continue the domino effect that we have started by making us larger and stronger and come November 2010, they will have no choice but to listen. We MUST continue to call out these corrupt politicians and stop this out of control socialist government. Keep calling and writing your representatives and hold their feet to the fire. WE MUST SUCCEED FOR THE SAKE OF THE UNITED STATED OF AMERICA.
I have been referring as many as possible to you Cold Warrior for more information in regard to our local committees and and I personally am involved in my own precinct. Thanks for posting here and for your strong voice of reason and sound strategical thinking. AWESOME!!!!!! :-)

I am concerned that we already have too many groups flapping their lips instead of doing something.
This article from American Thinker might be of interest to our work...

There is some excellent reading material on the S.P.I.N. forum that is very helpful in arming individuals with the facts to help convert those persons that are riding the fence and are unsure what direction to take or even how to implement thewinning over of other folks. There's a plan called Agenda 21 that is presented in terms all can understand that we must understand and fight against. Here's a link to the forum...http://spinpolitico.com/
. Please go there and review the details. We can turn this around!

Great idea Earl! Thanks so much. I'll check my state group and see if it's active.
Hi Earl, I do have to ask, if you have contacted Oath Keepers and Resistnet regarding the National leader meeting in Dec. Many of us are in all the groups, and efforts are at times redundant and counter productive time wise. I mean NO disrespect, I love all the groups, and this is a great group, but we (the 40% of working America) could be more productive if all the leadership of these groups came together, that way state and town groups would have a more defined roll and action items. Just my thoughts.
Redundancy of efforts by groups from different patriotic sites is a legitimate problem and concern, but it is also unavoidable and sometimes necessary. While we can try our best to make alliances and coalitions with other groups and sites like ours, and we are trying to do so in the background, the reality is that all groups and sites will never come together. All we can do is try - without losing our own identity (or sanity) in the process!
I'm already holding some As a Mom meetings in my area and am connected to the TC Tea party Patriots as well as a group we're calling Don't Tread on Me. I'd be happy to lead a TCU group in my area. Contact me w specific direction.
