I was commenting on him the other day.Same thing,he was really quiet for 8 years, speaking occasionally. But he definantly reminded me why I like him and supported Bush/Cheney.Good to hear him speaking out, especially while Bush sits quiet while they bash everything he has done since 9/11.
I should also point out that me saying I would vote for him over Palin is huge. Palin has been number 1 or 2 for awhile of potential presidents to support. Romney was also tied with Palin. But now that Cheney has started speaking out, its changing everything in my opinion.
I would agree that Cheney is doing what no other Republican has done and put Obama on the defensive. With that said, I don't think he would be right as President. Only because he allowed President Bush to sign off on those bailouts which helped create this mess.
But I would like to see Cheney keep defending the Bush Administration's foreign policy that has kept us safe for the past eight years.
I also believe that Cheney has no ambition to run for president.
Cheney is the American Cincinnatus and the most highly qualified spokesman on national security in the nation. He has been a congressman, secretary of defense during the first Gulf War, presidential chief of staff and Vice President with expanded responsibilities. He continues to serve conservative values with laser-like precision and is destroying the Democrat attempts to vilify those who kept us safe for the past seven and one half years.
I would certainly vote for Cheney. He is unwaivering in his beliefs which are consistent with protecting Americans which is the #1 job for any sitting President. I dont know much about the rest of his ideals though...And I like Palin a lot.
I would actually love to see Newt Gingrich on the ticket....He would absolutely destroy Obama in a debate about anything.
Cheney is inspiring heroic resistance to Obama. And Cheney is perfect for the job -- villified by the treasonous Left, a survivor of its mischief, and would-be martyr to its street-mob-type recklessness.
no i dont think he is trying to be president. I think this was all just becuase he was tired of being hammered by the democrats and being blamed for everything. Now I think he SHOULD run for president.
Cheney fired on all cylinders last week. That is why all the Sunday talk shows came out swinging against him. I tell you what though I'm feeling that Colin Powell is not the only traitor in the Republican ranks. Tom Ridge and Newt Genighrich stating the necessity to be inclusive is utter bull. Cheney is the only Republican official whose numbers have increased in the polls, plus he's done something that McCain or anyone else for that matter couldn't do in the election, get Obama to sweat and squirm. And that phony baloney GOP chairman is probably working lock and step with Powell to move the party to the middle. He meant what he said about Rush on CNN and shortly after Powell started spewing bile. Now he says arguing about who should leave the party won't help a starving child get food. What the hell does that sound like? A bleeding heart liberal? Boo hoo hoo all this bickering is hurting starving kids who won't receive quality education because their teachers make too little and there is not enough computers in the class room. I got sick of this tripe from the Dems now I've got to hear it from the Republican leadership. Good God count me out. If this is what being a Republican is about than I'm out! If Republicans want to leave us conservatives that is fine but I promise you all this; with out us, the conservative base, the only way Republicans could win another national race is if they stole the political identity of the democrats. Other than that playing to the fence sitters won't win them jack. Powell, Ridge, Geingrich can all go to hell and have a poker shoved up their tail pipe. Harsh? Maybe, but just hear what these opportunistic scum suckers and adulterous hypocrites (Geingrich) are really telling you in between the double talk. "Sit down and shut up and vote Republican."
