Congressional Wages
Do any of you know what we pay each or our Senators & Congressmen? I mean how much in wages PLUS fringe benefits and how long do these wages/benefits continue. I'm looking to try to figure out just how much money, WE THE PEOPLE are paying these fools to lie and cheat us! They also get to vote on their own raises yearly, how many of you would like to be able to say how much of a raise you are going to give yourself?

Here's a start and if this don't piss you off ask your senator or congressman how many offices they staff and how large their staff is.

The internet has a lot of information but often it can be difficult to find or it may not even be online. I use my reference librarian for gathering information, materials, books etc. I need. The service is free and they have special databases they use to acquire the information. If there is a great place to spend stimulus money it is the community library which often have the free internet service.
I also agree with Mario that the cost of their staff has to be included. The staff are long term and very expensive employees. I recall the then Senator Clinton had a huge staff when she joined the Senate to work on her bid for the presidency. Too bad she wasn't more successful and had Obama steal the election away.

THEY NOT ONLY WILL HAVE TO TAKE THE SAME HEALTHCARE IF THEY CRAMB IT DOWN OUR THROATS. AND WE
ALSO HAVE TO GET AN AMENDMENT IN TO REDUCE ALL THEIR SALARIES AND FRINGE BENEFITS AND GIVE
THEM ONLY WHAT TOP EXECS MAKE PERIOD.
THEY ALSO WITH BE CUT TO WORKING ONLY HALF A DAY. ALL THEY DO IS SIT AROUND AND COME UP WITH
500 OR MORE BILLS EACH YR TO RULE AND REGULATE US TO DEATH.
AS IT STANDS NOW 10, OOO RULES/REGS NEED TO BE RECINDED,REPEALED DONE AWAY WITH TO MAKE THIS
GOVT THE SMALL ONE THAT THE CONST. CALLS FOR.
WHY DID WE SIT BACK YR AFTER YR AND LET THIS B......................D'S INCREASE THIER SALARIES WITOUT OUR APPROVAL IS BEYOND ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
