Many of you have asked me what you can do to help stop the insanity of the government trying to ram a health care bill down our throats this weekend.

Here is a simple and easy way to do so that needs to be done TODAY and through this weekend.

Call the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at 1.877.762.8762 or 1.202.224.3121 and tell them "Kill the Health Care Bill." Keep the phone pressure up throughout the weekend. If you keep getting busy signals, that is a very good sign.

Keep calling and have your kids call too! After all, it is your kids future that our elected officials are throwing away!
Hold Strong!! Pray!!
Rights are God given....healthcare is not a right....it's a privilege if anything. One of the reasons healthcare is so expensive is government regulations, another reason is lack of free enterprise. If healthcare providers could cross state lines, healthcare costs would come down.
Rights definetly God Given!!
Amen to that Jane. Add tort reform and we've got a bill.
Jane,
You've got it.
Who do you think will give you better quality health care at the lowest price, Sam Walton or Nancy Pelosi? It's a no brainer.
Laura called it -- tort reform is needed. The tax code is encouraging bad behavior as well. Rather than fix it in the margins, lets do the Fair Tax.
God Bless America.
Dan is right! Health care isn't a right it is a luxury. At the same time tho the insurance industry could do a lot better job of helping their clients and a lot less of raking them over the coals. Obama care however isn't the answer! It's just one more step closer to socialism and Obama's dream of control! A dream I want no part of!!! As for bribes, of course they are, he does business just like he was still in Chicago!

Thank You, Miriam, for the reminder "to look up" even in adversity, and for the beautiful picture as well. Let us
be an "army on our knees" before, during, and after all that we do and say for the cause of freedom in this dark
and dangerous time...God bless us and keep us, and God protect and preserve our liberty, our precious America!
Andrew, Ins. Co. make a 3.2% profit, not a windfall by any means. Rates are high for a number of reasons (I am a small bus. owner and have to pay), one gov regulations which inhibit competition, medicare/medicaid set rates forcing the $ to be made up by the private ins purchasers, in addition we have to make up for all the uninsured..which includes illegals, not to mention rediculous/frivolous law suits. Sure I get ticked at what we pay for ins, but I sure as heck do not think the gov can do it better. I do believe if the gov would do what they are supposed to do..promote and ensure trade across state lines, get their dirty grubby hands out of the pie(the gov makes $$ out of this) the free market can "right" itself. Enforce immigration for one. There are 1300 insurance comp in this country; why can't businesses send fro a bid from 1300 different ins comp??? Competition and the free market works, but the gov has restricted free trade, in direct VIOLATION of the Constitution, the same amendment they think allows them to implement health care. This bill is about control and wealth redistribution. Progressives have maliciously made oil companies and Ins Co. the bad guy, when in truth...the enemy of America, the destroyer of the free market is and are PROGRESSIVES.
Sue,
We need also to separate the catastrophic coverage from pre-paid care. When we separate them (regulatory work) then we can put patients back in charge of their routine spending. If we do this then the consumers will naturally hold down the cost because it is in their best interest.
Think about it this way. What if fill ups, routine maintenance, and oil changes were added to our auto insurance policies. What would happen? Well we would take our cars to the shop more often. Why not it is free? So consumers, unconstrained by cost, use more. What happens next? Well insurance rates will go up. This is what is happening with the current health care system.
I think this fix along with competition across state lines will help hold down costs.
The dems will will shred the constitution to pass healthcare. But they will pass it.
IT'S ENOUGH "BS" LET IMPEACH HIM
