Do you think that the elections this month will change the direction our country has been heading?

The current TCUnation poll asks the question "Do you think that the elections this month will change the direction our country has been heading?  (If you have not participated in the actual poll please find it on the main page and give your opinion).

It will be interesting to see how our members feel overall about these elections and to what extent they will change the direction of our nation.  Will Obama behave differently, as Bill Clinton did following his mid-terms?  Will Obama still try and pull some "shenanigans" to try and manipulate the country further towards his agenda of socialism/Marxism?   Can the election of conservative Republicans and Independents, along with the changes in congressional leadership, be the beginning of a swing back towards a more centrist political direction.  Will "Obamacare" and some of this administration's more damaging policies be reversed?   Is Amnesty the next move to try and regain political momentum by the liberals in congress?

Discuss our poll question here and share your thoughts.

"We the People" have spoken. The elections this month will most definately change the direction of our nation. The American People are making it perfectly clear that they are ready for "REAL" change... that does not include the reckless spending of government and the drowning debt they have created. I don't think we've heard the last of Pelosi though...she'll go down fighting and kicking her Stiletto's, I'm sure of that. One thing is certain...there are more important things that need our immediate focus, for example: Creating jobs, the economy, education, and restoring good old fashioned values to our Nation. Since when does smoking pot and homosexuality take preseidence over these more important issues? Com'on, lets get real here... The world has its eyes on us...lets make them stop laughing us and restore our nation with the same values and patriotism our founding fathers fought so hard for. We can start by electing our Presidents, and government officials who not only have performed military service, but who actually know how to run a military. I just know our founding fathers are rolling in their graves right now.

I am taking a wait and see approach. I want them to get down to business, the economy. I hope they don't spend their time on useless "impeachment" directives, ECONOMY!!! everything else is down the list
HELL NO as long as the "government" continues to bail out every city ,state or moron who over spends what incentive do they have to WORK WITH IN A BUDGET .

We also do not need the government being in competition with businesses.

One term limits and NO retirement after one term
Of course the elections will change the nation's direction. Without a majority in the House, the enemies of America and freedom can't pass their death warrants against the U.S., even in the form of death by a thousand cuts (tax cuts excluded).

But the socialist Democrats and the Pelosi-Obama-Reid wrecking crew still have six (or seven?) weeks to demolish the U.S.. Knowing this is their best chance, they could attempt to compress their agenda for six years into just six weeks . . . or as much of it as time permits.

What the Republican partiers haven't yet acknowledged is that the Tea Party turnaround in the House, while necessary, is not a sufficient condition to rescind Obamacare, much less to restore free enterprise, restore trust and respect for America in the Middle East, and recover the money from the TRILLION dollar stimulus theft. The crooks in office not only have their cake, they can eat it too, for two more years, because the opposition is powerless to repeal even a jot or a tittle of all the anti-America legislation of the past 22 months. And what conservative bill can a simple majority in the House pass against a hostile veto and a progressive socialist Democrat majority in the Senate? Gridlock is better than headlong rushing over the cliff, but gridlock does NOTHING to change the direction of the downward plunge already set in motion.

The only recourse is for the Joint Chiefs of Staff to follow the example of Honduras with ex-Pres. Manuel Zelaya: to oust the Con-in-Chief and send him to Gitmo.

He is Constitutionally ineligible for office, not being a natural born citizen. How could anyone whose birth status was governed by British law be a natural born citizen of the U.S.? Unless he has been naturalized since, he was not even a U.S. citizen at birth. He was born in Mombasa, Kenya, his father was a Kenyan and a British Protected Subject (cf. Dreams From My Father, p. 261), and his mother could not confer her U.S. citizenship to him because she was not yet 19 years old (see section 301(a)(7) of the INA of 1952, as it was in effect in 1961).

On that basis, any court can (and must) void the 2008 election, without attempting to challenge him directly or remove him from office. Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) has rejected impeachment, and a conviction by the Senate would be numerically impossible. But a conviction would be unnecessary, either in a court or in the Senate. Remember Watergate and Nixon. Just ordering discovery and subpoenaing Mr. Obama's documents would force him to resign.
I will not stand-down until the FED opens the big-book(s) for a real review of our Nations financial picture and the names of those calling the shots! The "VOTE" means little to nothing in a third-world economy! Let's not take our eye's off the ball and keep their feet in the fire, i fear the next 5yrs. will be ugly...real ugly.
Things have gone to far, and the next few weeks the liberals will finish us...
Know your nieghbors, you will need each other to watch the others back!
As far as Obama, I believe him incapable (see Webster's for the definition of 'narcissist') of ANY "Change" himself, as was apparent in that typical Obamanable post-election speach. Sure, he'll be under advisement by his behind-the-scenes liberal string pullers to do whatever is necessary to push as much progressive "Compromised" legislative control over Americans...and NON-Americans as possible. However, I know there is NOTHING positive from that non-principled, anti-American socialist.

As for the sweeping, conservative victory that took place, like most here, I'm elated in seeing just how many that 'Silent majority' turned out to be when push comes to shove. But, like many here, that elation is tempered by the fear that many will turn somewhat complacent in the aftermath. This election simply gave us more (not the desired number) of TOOLS to do the bidding of will of the American public. But STILL, I'm very grateful!!!

Obamacare AND 'Immigration Reform' will BOTH be put in the forefront while both sides (right vs wrong) while MANY OTHER pieces of legislation will be passed, WITHOUT OUR NOTICE, in legislative bills and earmarks on everything from the UN's world, anti-gun push to 'Politically INcorrect' laws that protect specific segments of society. The complete spectrum will be covered in the form of those same, small progressive victories we read about in emails AFTER they are introduced or passed.

In the aftermath of oil spills, every little incident involving the petroleum industry will be painted in neon orange and set afire. Polluting corporations and criminal acts by executives will be headlined. More celebrity voices and talking heads will speak on these newly elected/re-elected Republicans with every twisted slant possible, highlighting the need for MORE progressive measures - meaning TAXES; aka 'penalties'.

All in all, I'd say this victory was great, but we have our work cut out for us. To UN-legislate all the damage that's been done since FDR will be a near-impossible task, but...it'll give us something to do, right? lol.

And like 'Tiny' Tim says: "God bless us, one and all!"

Well spoken, Clint! Our work is still cut out for us, and the Liberal Progressive Socialists won't just lay down or go away. We had a few victories in the November elections, so let's take some heart in that and go from there. We have to keep moving forward . . . complacency about politics in general is no longer an option for any of us if we really want to turn this country back around.

Moving on to 2012 . . . . . . .
Jim, the first, best positive about the last couple of years has been the "Awakening'. For the first time in centuries - maybe EVER - the people have become aware of the 'before' and 'after' picture of America. With the aid of the internet and solid grassroots movements, we have had our eyes opened to the assault on Liberty and, in doing, it is now impossible NOT to see where it is being eroded. Thank you Lord. We once were blind, but now we see!

God Bless!
We're still going to be stuck with business as usual if Patricia Allessandro aka Nancy Pelosi becomes the House Minority leader. We're still stuck on the West Coast with Harry and Babs driving the states into the pit of Hell.
California is in for a nasty crash with Moonbeam and his leftist thugs at the helms: Gabbing Nuisance (Howling Howie Mini-me), Kamala the Kountry Klub Prison Queen Harris Attorney General, Johnny Chiang, Debra Bowen, and a few more.
