I'm wondering if any of you have taken stock lately of the rumblings of our conservative uprising?

It appears to have become a citizen reawakening of vibrant anger, frustration and righteous indignation against an attempt by the Progressives and this president and Congress to change America into a banana republic under the auspices of the United Nations. A dream coming true for those who have been planning it for nearly a century and a nightmare for those of us that still cling to our guns and religion, and which is, day by day becoming a deadly threat to those of us who love our Constitutional rights and understand what checks and balances are for. We get it. We don't want a North American Union. Much less a New World Order. Nor do we want to adhere to international treaties and law. We believe in American sovereignty and Constitutional law.

How did we get here? I know you know the answer to that by now. The anger we all feel for those who unfairly tax and regulate us is rightfully directed at both parties. And our distaste for the political rot that has crushed our economy, has ushered in something new. We all feel that we have been betrayed and lied to. Right? So, how can we harness our righteous rage into a strategy that can save us from what many sense as imminent doom?

All politics start at the local level. If you are sitting reading this and are thinking about directing your political efforts and loyalties to the purists of the conservative revival, think again.
If you truly believe we are on the verge of losing everything, how effective can your vote be for any other conservative party/parties, that would drain the Republican party of the numbers needed to win back Congress in the mid-term elections? By splintering the Republican party we will be handing Congress back to the Progressives and Obama, and any hope for a Presidential win in 2012. Because my conservative friends, there is no more time for purist perfection of the movement. The only chance we have is to unite, along with Independents, moderate liberals and disaffected Republicans and join the Republican Party's revival. That means that YOU and I are the Republican revivalists at our local levels, in our city precincts, districts and States. Because, the sweet and short of it is this:

WE CANNOT WIN WITHOUT YOU. We can only win back Congress with the NUMBERS and I welcome Democrats, Independents and good Conservative Constitutionalists to join with the only party that can pose a serious threat to the current administration, if it stays together. You are the purist element that will decide who gets on the ballot by joining your precinct as an elected Committeeman/woman. Please read Earl B's "The Most Powerful Office in the World?" on the side bar of this page! Time is running out. Stats are for losers. Final score is for winners.

AMEN SISTER, I'VE BEEN THINKING THE SAME THING, IF WE SPLINTER THE CONSERTATIVE VOTE BETWEEN REP. AND CON. THEN WE WOULD NEDD UP WITH DEM.
Historically 3rd party candidates do not win unless they are well known, or are billionaires, they only kill the party that they splintered from.

I concur, best chance to get our country back is to reform the existing Republican party from the grassroots level. As much as a 3rd party sounds appealing, if we become more active during the primaries and nominate good conservatives, and keep up this great momentum we have with the Tea Parties and such, we can force the Republican Elites to reform. It's too important now to screw things up, we must stop this creeping socialism at all costs.
The work is all ahead of us, but certainly Michael the job is to WIN first ... then sort out some of the pickier details. The way to do that without shooting ourselves in the proverbial foot is to make sure we elect some great conservatives to office in the process-- ones that will LISTEN to their constituents' voices and then vote for what is right, not just for what will win them the next election.
I whole heartedly agree. If we are successful in 2010 we cannot allow the RINOs to believe that we simply prefer their brand of liberalism over the Democrat's. They must be made very aware that the Republican Party should be the Conservative Party, not Liberal Light. And they should fear for their jobs, because we can always find a more Conservative Republican. We need to encourage strong Conservatives to take their rightful place in the Republican Party. Our message to all RINOs should be "we're coming for you next"!
Yes Joyce, we are coming after them too!! Great comment, THANKS!!!! :-)
What the Election of Scott Brown proved to me that we must start at State level and work our way up to 2012 that is the only way we can remove what we need to be removed. The removal of people like Pelosi is done by removing her power the little rich Girl will remain because of her monies but is not a threat if she is not Speaker of the House just one vote.
Laura: I could not agree more. One of the major problems I see with the Republican base is how we vote or lack there of. If a Republican is running for office and may not agree with 100% of my concerns and issues then he does not get my vote! I'll never understand that position as it is self defeating, as you then end up with an elected official who has even less in agreement with your positions and issues. I believe a major set back to the Republican party was when Ross Peroit ran as an Independent. He would have made a great President however even if he won he would never have accomplished his goals as he had neither support from either party in Congress, and additionally all he did was pull votes from the Republicans, and what the results of that? Bill Clinton gets elected! He should have supported Bush, for his second term and spent the next 2 years setting up a campaign for President and run as a Republican. Again I agree completely that while I may be a conservative, the Party that best represents my values and views is the Republicans and as such we must support Republican candidates in order to a) Stop the Democratic spending insanity and b) to put the Republicans back in charge as they represent some if not all of our conservative views.
I had always been an indipendant but because of this administration have joined the GOP. Power in unity!! I just want people in office that will return the nation to the people and to honor God.
Same here, Donna - and I know there are many here that openly agree with your sentiments!
OH, what a fine article. I saw Ben Stein last night on Fox News' Neil Cavuto's show. He was terrific! With his usual aplomb he said "Obama is a camelian (sp?). He will change again and again to hang on to his power."

Here is a guy that takes no prisoners!!
That would be spelled "chameleon," Laura! Just helping you out, my friend! :D
Thanks Jim, I wasn't awake yet still having coffee!! Sometimes I forget how to do the simplest things. Must be geezerdom.
