How will you fill out the census? I have heard that we are only constitutionally bound to give the names of the people who reside in the home.

Clergy urge illegals to break the law
Associated Press - 3/16/2010 7:55:00

PHOENIX - The National Coalition of Latino Clergy and Christian Leaders is urging illegal immigrants not to fill out the U.S. Census forms that are starting to arrive in mailboxes.

The coalition's chairman, the Reverend Miguel Rivera, says illegal immigrants should boycott the census unless comprehensive immigration reform offers them a path to citizenship.

The census attempts to count everyone -- regardless of legal status -- so that more government money can flow to areas with large populations. The Census Bureau says residents are required by law to participate, and insists that the information it collects is confidential.

But Rivera doesn't trust those assurances, and says more than 3 million members of his coalition's 20,000 churches plan to boycott this year's census.

He says 38 percent of the church members and one-sixth of their pastors are illegal immigrants.
"The census attempts to count everyone -- REGARDLESS of legal status -- SO THAT MORE GOVERNMENT MONEY can flow to areas with large populations."

Why is it that I'M the one who gets the looks of disdain when I point out such facts? Regardless of their plight, to dismiss these ILLEGAL ALIENS (not 'Undocumented' workers) and chastise the law-abiding, natural-born citizens for being uncaring or callous is reprehensible! True, it should be in the hearts of us all to show compassion, help those who need a hand up and give charity where we can. However, it is NOT the central government's place to force us to do so. It is unconstitutional in its most basic existence. That our society has become so ignorant of our American heritage of FREE WILL and ACCEPTING of those that break the law...well, as of now, I am still allowed to pray to a God of my own that the will of the people be spurred to remember of what material we were made. God help us all!
Amen to that!
The above is a direct quote from the Official U.S. Census site basically telling us that the issue of money for illegal aliens is not up for debate, it is already a done deal (surprise!). It doesn't take a Constitutional scholar to see that using citizens tax dollars to subsidize those who have broken the law is ... well, unlawful! No one asked me if it was alright~!
Clint,
My good friend your words are true. One of the best rebuttals to this position of the Census Bureau and the federal government is provided by The Father of the Constitution when he says "I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on the objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents."
James Madison
4th US President

assist some French refugees

This is exactly on point as the law passed by Congress would provide French refugees, who were here LEGALLY by the way, the sum of $15,000. If giving money to legal immigrants was not constitutional, as Madison says, then giving money to illegal immigrants is ever more so.
Like the $20 to resettle Hamas refugees here, stateside. What the hell has this country come to!? I have dear friends in Ireland and England both, as well as casual friends in Canada. Seeing what their countries have become (not the sunny side portrayed) they ask the same thing.
I received the census and like many of you I am providing names and race which is AMERICAN. But here's the big question...why did the pre census questionaire ask so many private questions like how many cars we owned, did we rent or own our home, how much we made?
Silly girl! That's so 'they' will know who the 'Haves' and 'Have Nots' are. It makes it easier for 'them' to have the information donated voluntarily when they come to take your stuff away for 'Redistribution'.
Not offended by the "silly girl"......I was being sarcastic. I haven't been checking in too much with the TCU...nice to have so many "friends". I didn't answer the pre census questionnaire and received many angry calls regarding why. I amused them by asking how they knew my unlisted phone number since I didn't provide it on the return form. I was threatened by a $100 fine which I told them to send me...it never came. Keep up all the good efforts. It looks like we have to save the sorry asses of those who believe what the lame street media tells them.
I put a sign on the door saying "no one lives here". Supposedly they go to your house if they don't get it back.
LOL I love it!
