Senate Majority leader Harry Reid has been called upon to step down due to remarks he made in 2008. In commenting on Barack Obama as a presidential candidate Reid says Obama would be successful because of his "light-skinned" appearance and speaking patterns "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one."

Many in the Republican party including GOP chairman Michael Steele have called upon Reid to give up his throne as Senate Majority leader.

Your thoughts?

Not only should he step down, he should take Pelousi with him and the Pres.
How could we have had these people elected, just don't like seeing how the democrats are trying to talk themselves out of the problems...
Impeach, tar and feather, hang. That's for all the Oathbreakers.
Yes he should step down for judging de way black folk speek
I'm not so sure. Do we really want to set a standard by which anyone who makes some maladroit statement has to lose his job? That two-edged blade could cut one of our own some time (and has). Reid should have been laughed out of a job long ago by the voters of Nevada; but who they want to represent them is more their business than mine. Maybe we should be the people who promote "thick-skinned-ness," rather than be the people who whine about how our feelings were hurt, or that black folks' feelings were hurt. There's too much whining in America, and not enough forthright plain speaking. Maybe we should tell the rest of America to "man up" and get over it. We could insult Harry Reid as while we do it, of course. But then we should move on, too. Mencken would have known how to deal with this.
He has to, if was the other way around they (Dems) would be screaming for his head to be taken off.
