Harry Reid - Should he step down?
Senate Majority leader Harry Reid has been called upon to step down due to remarks he made in 2008. In commenting on Barack Obama as a presidential candidate Reid says Obama would be successful because of his "light-skinned" appearance and speaking patterns "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one."
Many in the Republican party including GOP chairman Michael Steele have called upon Reid to give up his throne as Senate Majority leader.

Conservatives say be honorable and go - Socialists say stay and give me more entitlements as payment. Therefor Socialist's have no moral core they are just prostitutes that can be misused for money without regress.

REID AND REALITY…IT DON’T MATTER
Once again the Republicans are trying to hold the Secular Socialist (aka democrat) party accountable for their words or actions. It don’t matter.
The lamestream media will change democrat diapers daily. It don’t matter. From the Teddy K fix at Chappa to serial adulterer perjurer Klinton…to taxing then stealing your Social Security Funds…to spending 3-9x what they say they will in bills…to the neglect of Fannie-Freddie reform…to citizen rights for terrorists…to never sealing the border…to not profiling male moslems…to 4x our debt in a year…to 2x the jobless in a year…to ACORN funding…to transparency promises broken…to almost daily bold serial lying. It don’t matter.
The secular socialist party has no ethical or moral boundaries. Once you realize that fact it all falls into place. They will refuse questions and run from mikes. They will blame shift and topic shift (without media challenge). They will justify their bad behavior by pointing at other bad behavior (without media challenge). They will lie to cover a lie.
The chances of holding the secular socialists accountable are tiny. They just are never held to any reasonable ethical or moral standards as both parties should be. The only time they (seem to) act ethical or moral is actually when some seat of power or election is threatened.
Forget any other reasons. Time after time they take your breath away with the outrageous…knowing they will “get another media pass” or otherwise justify whatever. The media repeat WH talking points like trained dogs bark for biscuits. Its like a rich spoiled child whose parents defend them and believe anything they say.
Its been this way for over 40 years so accept it. The secular socialists (aka national democrats) make their own rules and another set for the rest of us (HC bill exemption a recent example). Its “how they roll”. All you can do is fax them, recall them or defeat them at the polls. Your next real chance at holding them accountable (that matters) is November 2010.
The rest…it don’t matter.

I think he should step down, not necessarily because of his remarks, but rather because of his wheeling and dealing to get this abominable health care bill passed, of course his remarks were racist.

Is this Trent Lott all over again?? While I'd like to see this vermin resign, it would be for different reasons and if the polls are correct, I think the 2010 elections will take care of it for us. What the Dem's (& more than a few cowardly Rep’s) did to Lott turned my stomach. And like Trent, Harry simply said something that was not "PC". Trent was being nice to an old man at his birthday party, and Harry was just talking in an off-handed manner and(!), was not untruthful: “Light skinned, speaks w/o Negro dialect...” What should have been offensive to the black community weren’t those words, but his follow-on, which had to do with "unless he is speaking to a specific group (read black)." Now that should be insulting to the black community.

I would much rather see him lose an election after spending all the left wing's campaign money. I feel that this country needs to stop keeping the race card alive. The only reason Obama doesn't have the black dialect is because he was not raised here and he had the best education money could buy. We still don't know where he got it. Or if he is a citizen.
If you compare the blacks in this country with the ones that don't practice jive talk you will find that they speak like educated people. I know a black girl who got fired from a job in a dental office because she spoke black jive. In a middle upper class dental office it just didn't go over.
