HEADACHE QUESTION: DO YOU RESPECT LIBERALS (When they talk Politics)
Hey my Conservative Family...The weekend is finally over...and YES..I battle a few Liberals this weekend..Why are the only LIBERALS I talk too.. Don't know anything about POLITICS..Only know what a friend has told them...And they would swear that it was fact instead of fact finding themselves...I wonder when I talk POLITICS with a Liberal..Why does my head hurt? I'm telling you...I get a smarter response from my Table when we talk Politics.
My Conservative sweetheart ANN COULTER said...If Liberals had any Brains...They would be Republicans. I honestly see why she Condem Liberals..She bashes Liberals more than anyone I know...I use to say to myself...She is a Crazy Conservative and Conservative don't need that type of Person...But I honestly see where she is coming from when she talks about Liberals...Why can't Liberals use common sense...thats all it takes to understand being Conservative.
NOW...I have Liberal friends...and they are great friends...But when it comes to Politics...it seems that they are NUTZ...and 95% of Liberals says..WELL BUSH GOT US INTO THIS...My response to them is always the same...When bush was in office...We were in a Slump...OBAMA is in Office..We are in a Catastrophe..(hope I spelled it right)...But you know what I mean...Its like Liberals blame everything on Republicans...But most of them can't tell me who the Speaker of the house is....Or do they know They don't need Republicans to pass a Bill... most Liberal say that you have to give OBAMA time...he has only been in Office for 10 months...What he is doing needs time to work...and you know what my response to that would be....DO YOU KNOW WHAT OBAMA IS DOING???just basic Questions...You can't get to Technical with a Liberal...cause it always comes down to Bush this and Bush that...just like a broken record...
Go ahead...I'll wait..find a Liberal...and ask him Do that person knows how bad OBAMA is screwing up the Country...I guarentee...their response will have Bushes name somewhere in there...This is where my headaches begin...Because they don't know or want to talk about the healthcare Bill....or the 787 Billion wasted Stimulus Bill...or most Liberals don't even know what the word SOCIALIST mean...You really can't get in Details about Politics to a Liberal...Because they just don't know..
I deal mostly with Black Liberals...the kind where if things are bad for a Democrat...you don't hear from them...cause they are on the Blackman in the Whitehouse syndrome...Yes ...they call me Uncle Tom...or I abandon the black race...Cause I'm a Black Conservative Republican American...instead of a African American Liberal..(you have to read my other blog for that discussion)..So you definatly can't get into detail Politics with them...and my white Liberal friends only talk about how bad bush has screwed up...Personally I Loved George bush...He was Honest...and Did what he says..And most of all...Protected me from the bad guys who gets off blowing themselve up...like its a sport or something...With this President...I DO NOT FEEL SAFE..When you have a liberal Government...makes me less safe everyday.
So when you debate your next Liberal...Don't slap them around.(most time I want to)..ask them for me...Do you use common sense when it comes to politics??Don't ask them to watch FOX news...cause they won't..Trust me...they will tell you they will..But they won;t...And don't try to Convert them...Cause you can't..they have to Convert on their own..Right now...All liberals have those Race horse Blinders on...With OBAMA in the middle to his right Nancy Pelosi...and to his Left..Harry Reid...and all of them are telling that Liberal...To walk towards me...I am the light...and I am your savior..and when they finally get there....Their Horns shoots up out of their heads..then they will come running to us...Conservatives...and like we always do...WE WELCOME THEM...cause thats what Conservatism is all about...

As early as last Easter, I was hearing a lot of "What do we do now?" from my small-town friends and family who realized they were duped...although it was nice not to be the "evil Republican" anymore, the only answer I had for them was to "stand strong, we will fight this together". My family lives in John P. Murtha-ville, 'nuff said! (call us bad names and smear the military, and we'll vote for you!!!)
I have a lot of respect for you-trying to intelligently converse in a mostly Liberal enviornment. You know as well as I that this administration isn't doing your Liberal friends any favors-kudos to you for putting yourself "in there" and giving it a shot!!!
By the way, I think you spelled "catastrophe" right!!! :)

You know, I can't leave this discussion without telling you my "Ann Coulter on the Joy Behar show" story! (Yes, she actually went on the show, and I missed part of Hannity's health care special because I wanted to see it! It was the first thing I ever commented on here on TCU-in "chat".)
To make a long story short, Joy Behar pulled out the race-card (It's like, she was desperate, and couldn't think of anything to say) She pretty much called Conservatives racist. (Sadly, the Libs overuse that word so much-it won't mean much of anything anymore!!!) Ann stood her ground, and I must say-her demeanor was more gentle and "dumbed down" when dealing with Joy-she realy didn't want to "go at her", but to get her to see that what she was saying was a bunch of hogwash. The segment ended with Joy nervously laughing, and Ann laughing (her usual!) at Joy nervously laughing...I wish I could remember exactly what Ann said, but I was shocked at how quicky Joy Behar threw that out there...it's sad (and cowardly, in a sense) because this kind of thing inhibits any REAL debate or conversation...it will thwart any real chance at finding common ground!

MIchele..My conservative Sweety...I didn't know that Joy Behar had her own show..What happen she got Fire from the view for being To Liberal or something...I rather listen to fingernails scratching a Chalkboard than sit and watch her Liberal Butt...The show must not be doing all that well...I don't even know what Channel its on...and I am a Student of Politics...I know where most Liberal shows areon TV..I just don't watch them..I rather put a gun to my head than to watch Bill Maher..The View...or MSLSD

I'll give the show 6 months...I personally think the show itself is awful....nothing personal against her, but she's not in the right place, you can see where she struggles. Obviously, I do not agree with her political views, but they should call that show "Lost" because SHE IS in that particular format!
P.S. Congrats on garnering so many responses-you ovbiously rev everyone up around here!!! :)

I have seen her show when Ann Coulter was on! Super Job Ann!
It was a good thing Joy was sitting down because see tripped over Ann's brilliance too many times. lol.
I think FOX should put Joy's show on just before Glenn Beck's, you know, the fair and balanced thingie lol. That way, Glenn's show will be even better!

Do I respect Liberals when they talk politics? No. I would if they would verify the points of their argument to be true before they start pointing fingers & playing the race card & if they would think for themselves & toss out the DNC talking points. Liberals are alot like atheists. They have their mind made up before the argument even begins. Therefore, what is the point in arguing with them. Brick walls are more responsive & don't accuse people of differing views to be racists, bigots, & homophobes just because they don't agree with the Liberal point of view. Liberals raise the intellectual level of concrete while simultaneously lowering their own.

As someone that has engaged Liberals on their turf and rules, I share Ron's frustrations. Where they might try to start off "a good debate," and even try to use reason to make their arguments, their talking points usually fall apart quickly under closer scrutiny - and so do the Liberals themselves! The moment they start losing control of the debate forum, they go for your jugular vein - and they get vicious with the personal attacks and slander! As I once heard someone else say, "Trying to reason with the Liberal-minded is like trying to give medicine to a dead man -- it just plain won't work!" And the crowd said . . . . Amen!
And, as Dave said, "landmine alert!!!"

I guess there's a good reason why most Liberals steer away from engaging Ann in debate - she demolishes them with her facts and sharp wit!!! She's tougher than the Libs are, and solidly Conservative!!! And she doesn't waste her time trying to play nice with the Liberal-challenged!
