Reid's comment after the vote was, in essence, "Now that they've (GOP) gotten their little tantrum out of the way, we can get realistic."  The Democrats and Obama will blow this aside, and continue their march to the sea.  Whether the proposed cuts were $60M or $90M is irrelevant, because Obama would have vetoed it, anyway.  When the Repubs shot down the extra amount, they achieved two things - started a rift between the GOP and true Conservatives, which will be exploited by the Dems, I assure you, and exposed their own lack of resolve (i.e. politics as usual).  My concern now is that Obama & Co. will cram more crap down the throats of the GOP because the Dems see that, and pardon the age-old line, Repubs can talk the talk, but they can't walk the walk.  The leftist media is already constantly reminding GOP members what happened to the Repubs the last time they shut down the government (during Clinton's realm), and I can almost bet that the GOP will later show their true colors - that their interest lies primarily in re-election rather than making the hard decisions necessary to save our country from the current Socialist administration's agenda.  The Dems and GOP are going to face off, and I fear that it will be the GOP that blinks first!
The Republicans better ensure that they have a reform plan ready to go that addresses issue like pre-existing conditions, if they cut without a new healthcare bill they will be in trouble with the American public, watch out for the Obama trap that's his claim to fame from his college days to the present.
