Invite 5 friends to TCU this week, and watch what happens. PLEASE READ!
My Good and Conservative Friends,
Over the next few days, we're going to use this forum to pass along some
CRITICAL INFORMATION about
TCUnation.com, where we are going, and more importantly, how we are going to get there. It is imperative that every member read these posts, and assist us in any way you can.
I am going to assume that most everyone here is aware of TCU's origin on facebook the day after the 2008 election. 2 months later, we had over 8,000 members. Earl migrated
TCUnation here when facebook shut off his ability to message all the members of that group, and so, in a sense, we are starting from ground zero.
Now a little about myself: I have been friends with Earl for a long time, and have worked with him on and off over those years, primarily in Internet and technical projects and businesses. I often "explain Earl" to people who don't know him by saying "he is the only person besides myself whom I could ever possibly work for again, and who will allow me to work with him again." :) He is that extremely rare mix of incredible intelligence,
and incredible common sense. When Earl asked me to get involved with TCUnation, I didn't hesitate at all, because
I believe in everything TCU stands for (just as all of you do) and I know Earl. He has a vision, and he will make it happen. I share that vision for TCU, and I want to be a part of the celebrations that will take place as we achieve each and evry goal we have.
What is
CRITICAL for you ALL to understand is that TCU is not, and will not be "just another social network." The purpose of the community, and the drive of Earl, myself, and the members, is for TCU to become a major voice for conservatives all across this great country. By joining this network, you enter an environment where your ideas and beliefs are shared by virtually every other member. We are a "sounding board" for you, and you for us. But
for TCU to become a significant voice in 2010, 2012, and beyond, our voice has to be heard OUTSIDE this network. Visiting TCU to share opinion and ideas with your friends is a large part of the experience and the vision, but it is, in effect, "preaching to the choir."
There are
3 things we need immediately in order for TCU to bolt from the gate and gain the momentum needed to move toward our goals:
1. New Members
2. New Members
3. New Members
Over the next few days, we will be sharing ways you can introduce people to
TCUnation.com. As I write this, we have 756 members.
If each of us can bring just 5 friends this week, next Saturday night we would have 4,200+ members. If we ALL did it again the following week, we would have
21,000+ members, and I can almost guarantee we would be news.
One more week and we would be 100,000+ strong and Rush, Sean, Laura, Neal, and maybe even Sarah herself would be clamouring for our attention and support.
Is it realistic to think we can grown that large, that quickly? Probably not, but it is possible. Is it realistic to think we can grow that large? Absolutely, and
we must. The Democrats did it, while we sat comfortably by and watched. This is EXACTLY how they took control last November. Grassroots. Baby steps.
Each and every member contributing what they could, and contributing as often as they could.
If you belong to other social networks, invite them about TCU. Send email to all your contacts, your address book, your messageboards, and tell them about TCUnation.com. If you have a blog, make a post about TCU, add the TCU badge or banner to your pages, and link back to us where it is appropriate.
We can be just another group, or we can be the group that drives the bus. 2010 is critical, and while it is never too early to get started, it will eventually become too late. A group of 4-6,000 users doesn't get much attention. A group of 150,000 cannot be ignored.
If you want to take back Washington, and if you want to change the world, it really is this simple:
Invite 5 friends to TCU this week, and watch what happens.
