I like Mr er Chairman Steele, I enjoy his thoughts, his insight. I hope he will lead the conservative's and not get lost in the politics like the last Chairman.

Standing guard over Liberty!!!!
Woo Woo!! About time.. I hoped he would be elected to the position and instead Mel Martinez was.. He did nothing positive for the party and we almost lost FL this time around! I didn't even know who had taken over after Mr Martinez, they never came out to talk on TV or radio.. I didn't even know Mike's name until it was time to elect a new chair.. thank goodness .. I hope we do well in the inner cities, we need to get the message out.

On the news they reported it by saying "the Republicans have elected their first African American.". After hearing about how Obama was the first Black President for weeks on end, it sounds like they voted for Mr Steele in response to all that. I hope he makes the point that he was abused on the campaign trail, about the double standard. He needs to ask THEM to be open minded and don't treat Republicans with a double standard. He already has made a name for himself as a spokesperson for the party.. Godspeed Mr Steele!
I like Chairman Steele from what I can tell. He has filled in on Hannity's TV show and Radio, also is a frequent quest, I like most of his views and he seem alot further right than middle and that is what we need.
I think it is an excellent choice, and will indeed give a new shift to the Party, if not a new tone and direction. Steele will be an acceptable leader no doubt. However, it will eventually be up to him to step in and excite the party much as Sarah Palin did prior to the last lack-luster election. I just hope the entire leadership within the party, including house and congressional leaders, will not only support Mr. Steele, but also to promote him in their home districts as a voice that will represent the people in addressing Party issue -- both those of perception and substance.

God speed to Mr. Steele
Any way we can convince Steele to be a Fair Tax guy?

The Flat Tax is an improvement, but still is a direct violation of the right to personal liberty and property rights.
This was a FANTASTIC choice! I remember a little over a month ago when Hannity was interviewing him, Sean was poking around that Michael was the favorite to be elected. Of course it was too early then, but I was really hoping from there on out that Steele would be the guy! I've been very impressed with his demeanor, excitement and his being solid to his foundation of beliefs. I really think he has what it takes to be successful and will enjoy watching.
I wasnt impressed with Steele during some of the debate interviews during the GOP primaries. I think he's a typical politician who rolls with the prevailing political winds.. Has he educated himself and smartened up at all?? I suppose we shall see.
This has been long overdue. If Mr. Steele puts forth an aggressive yet sound strategy, we will take the Congress back in 2010 and the Preseidency in 2012.
