10/30 Episode of Missouri Freedom Radio – Featuring: Virgil Goode, Presidential Candidate for the Constitution Party! The following is an interview conducted between Grant Warren (show host of Missouri Freedom Radio) and Virgil Goode.
To start things off, would you mind sharing a little bit about some of your experiences in the political arena? “I was nominated by the Constitution Party at the Convention at the end of April in Nashville.” Mr. Good explains.“ Prior to that for twelve years, I was in the U.S House of Representatives. And prior to that for 23 years I was in the Virginia State Senate.“ And although the other candidates have no military experience what-so-ever, Mr. Goode noted that he was in the army national guard for six years.
Goode on Constitution Party and Immigration: What made you run on the Constitution Party ticket? “I was invited in 2008 to attend the National Convention of the Constitution Party, but I couldn’t go. That year it was in January, and the Congress was in session then, and I couldn’t go because of prior commitments. And then they invited me again in Spring of ‘09, and I went and found that we had many thoughts and beliefs in common. And then in Spring of 2010, the Constitution Party National Committee was the only National Committee of any Party that came four-square in support of the State of Arizona as they were fighting illegal immigration. When I was in Congress, I worked diligently to end illegal immigration. I’m also a supporter of reducing legal immigration – particularly in regards to so many green-carders coming into the United States. Our unemployment is around 8 percent, and yet we continue to issue green-cards to workers that will come to the United States to do about any job they want to, and they’re taking jobs from U.S. citizens.
