Tonight Obama addressed the nation on the oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico. Many are critical of his speech, even left leaning news outlets.
What did you think?

IT WAS A SALES PITCH FOR CAP AND TRADE
Not much of a speech, but then, he's not much of a president.

....about what I expected, nothing.
yes you got that right. This disaster is just what he wanted. Obama is smiling behind the door of our office. Time to fire him. Can this country take 2 and half more years of Obama who has no leadership.
Morning, I am ready to make a move and am open for all suggestions. I put August out to see if I might get a response. I did and I love it.

Please contact me and lets get something going.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going.

Would it be OK if I started transferring some items from my Facebook page over to here so you people can have something to dig into?

I will be waiting for your reply,

OLY
Personally, I think he suffers from a severe case of oculo-rectitis.
Yep, just a pitch for Cap and Trade. He's determined to crush the middle class and turn us all into serfs! And he's going to push hard because November is approaching quickly!
He lied about not having land to drill for oil. We have land and shallow water where we could drill. Had we been able to drill on land or in shallow water we wouldn't be coping with this oil disaster.

As far as his "energy policy" (cap and trade), is this why he has been so slow to act on things that could have mitigated some of the damage being done by this oil disaster. I don't believe anyone was surprised by him bringing that up during his "speech".

Half way through his speech I kept thinking...bla-bla-bla. Same old, same old.
I feel it is a shame that the President of the United States would use this horrible situation to pursue his agenda, I hope the American people will see through this shameful speech.
In his words, ( Somrthing is not working ) DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

OLY
My thought is, when you have an administration who has expressed a willingness to use every catastrophe, and crisis for political gain, and you have a Cap and Trade bill that's dead in the water, how much of a stretch is it to manufacture a crisis. Especially with a company like BP, who is the largest donor to Obuttface, and has been working on new energy sources for decades. What if, they have one, but need oil to become scarce and frowned upon to make it work, and what if, you have a willing administration who will give them the oil industry on a platter....Hmmm
what an idiot, I am 100% for caring for the planet but solar and wind are intermitent power sources...kinda like a wood burning fire...works great so long as you have wood to burn, sun to shine and wind to blow....This guy has had enough OJT (on the job training). He needs to feel the heat of the nations unhappiness, he still doesn't take the voters seriously. We can not afford this president.
I lived for a while in a old house with only a wood-burning stove in the dining room and a fireplace in one of four bedrooms for heat. It was a miserable, back-breaking winter, made endurable only by the fact it was in South Alabama, not Minnesota or Idaho. I don't believe we will ever be oil-independent; we use it for far more than gas, diesel and jet-fuel - but we can certainly work at severing the umbilical to OPEC!!!
