UN-BELEIV-ABLE Just goes to show....How prestigious this award is!! Right up there with Jimmy Carter, Al Gore, and best of all ARafat!!

Wow.
Just when I thought it couldn't get worse. I feel badly for my future grandbabies and wondering what their country will be like by then.

I am 46 years old and God blessed with a beautiful daughter 2 years ago. I know He has a plan for her and for her generation. All I can do is raise her up to follow Him and teach her that this life is just fleeting and that there is an Eternal Reward and Life for her in Heaven. I am afraid her life will be hard; nothing like you imagine it will be for your kids, but that will just make her a strong Christian soldier. I truly believe we see the Anti-Christ, and the horror is just beginning....

No, this is not a joke. I Googled (News) to make sure this one was on the level -- it is.

Barack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for "his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples," the Nobel Committee said in Oslo today.

Obama says he's humbled. Why are you laughing?

Obama, 48, last year was elected on a platform of extracting the U.S. from the Iraq war (which he hasn't) while increasing focus on an eight-year conflict in Afghanistan (which he hasn't). All U.S. forces are scheduled to be withdrawn from Iraq by 2011 (which they won't), after the 2003 the U.S.-led invasion to topple Saddam Hussein.

Obama is the third occupant of the Oval Office to be awarded the prize, following Theodore Roosevelt in 1906 and Woodrow Wilson in 1919. Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter won in 2002.

What the hell has Obama done to even be considered for this award -- it's a disgrace -- but when one reads the list of presidential honorees -- Wilson, Carter and Obama -- it kinda makes sense -- three losers!

The bloom was off the Nobel Rose when they gave the thing to Yasser Arafat.

Even 4th-Worlders are saying it's a joke.

Liaqat Baluch, a senior leader of the Jamaat-e-Islami, a conservative religious party in Pakistan, called the award an "embarrassing joke."

"Obama has a long way to go still and lots of work to do before he can deserve a reward," said Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri. "Obama only made promises and did not contribute any substance to world peace. And he has not done anything to ensure justice for the sake of Arab and Muslim causes."

Issam al-Khazraji, a day laborer in Baghdad, said: "He doesn't deserve this prize. All these problems -- Iraq, Afghanistan -- have not been solved... The man of 'change' hasn't changed anything yet."

What amazes me is that the nomination had to go in only two weeks into his presidency. Please tell me who actually thought that he was going to do anything peaceful or in an attempt to be peaceful. I sincerely hope I am wrong here but I suspect that the fix was in on this one. There is absolutely no way they knew if he was going to even be considered otherwise...not two weeks in.

How can you attend a church with Wright and still be considered for the Nobel Peace Prize, all the people he has associated with should have thrown up a huge yellow flag!

This is the most ludicrous thing I have ever heard. Of all the prople in the world to win a :PEACE" prize.....this man deserves it least of all. My 8 year old great geandaughter deserves it more than him.America... world... have you gone mad?????

Quite obviously the Nobel committee is more interested in giving out awards for doing nothing than for doing something. Considering that Obama has brought the world closer to another major conflict, he deserves an "endangering world peace" prize.

Note that he was nominated 11 days after inauguration, which shows that the award is meaningless.
Glenn Beck has been spoofing it by anouncing that he has received phony awards all morning. The Nobel is as meaningless as Glenn's Oscar, Grammy and Valedictory awards from Harvard and Cambridge.

You have got to be kidding me, first Gore, who unjustly won the prize instead of Irena Sendler. Now Obama. I was wondering what is this country coming to, now I realize it's the whole world. We have got to pull our party together and stop this madness. Our country is slipping through our fingers. At this rate the U.S. of A. will be a memory that our grandchildren will tell their children. I am just dumfounded today. Please someone throw me a rope so that I may climb out of the h***, before the mad hatter comes by again. And have you read about the proposed Amnesty Bill? Anyone but me had enough yet? How about Obama "thinking" about sending troops to Pakistan, instead of Afghanistan, Let's see, take my guns, my right to free speech, my right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Tell me that I can't pray, that my grandchildren can't sing Christmas Carols in school, because it MIGHT offend someone. Well I'm offended. Expect me to pay for these harebrained taxes coming out of the Nations Capitol. I don't care if he's black, white or pock dotted, he's not the right person to lead this nation out of the pit that it is in. Oh and please feel free to forward my name to the White House 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Washington D.C. I'm so angry that I could spit nickels, instead I'll have to spit I.O.U's.

One term????????? I have a feeling that the way the president is voted in he will very likely serve both terms. Popular vote has nothing to do with it and to many left wing loons hold the electoral votes.
Someone needs to have a recall vote put on the 2010 elections before the old song and saying comes true......FREEDOM IS JUST ANOTHER WORD FOR NOTHING LEFT TO LOOSE

Obama and his cronies are like the bastard feathers on a young eagle. The United States can no longer fly till these feathers (Obama and his administration) are removed.

Every state in the union should have the recall vote on there ballot

Unbelievable. I agree with the other responder...what has he done to win this? He has nothing in common with any of the other US Presidents who have won the award--some of them have won it years after the fact. This is ridiculous. Yet another way for the world and the media to create Obama hype out of nothing.

Remember Jimmy Carter won a Nobel Peace Prize also, so we can only hope that Obama will be a one term President as he seems to be following the script of the Carter Presidency. Surely there were more qualified people who deserved the award. The news said those present in the room in Copenhagen for the Awards Announcement let out a collective groan when his name was announced including members of the news media present. >:-(
