Why shiuld I respect someone who can't respect the president of the United States? Now, I was absolutely against him but he got elected fair and square, and now you people are doing the exact thing that Dems did during the Bush Administration. It made my blood boil when I saw Bush get mistreated by ignorant people. And it makes me ashamed when I see this person, as well as other people here, Mistreat someone and bash their name for NO GOOD REASON. It's just wrong and mean.

Back up for a moment, Mr. King. You are turning things around and inside out here. Bush was a legal citizen - Obama is not. It is not mean spiritedness or "Obama-bashing" to call into question his illegitimacy to be President of this country. The Constitution is the Supreme law of this land, and it forbids anyone from being President that is not a bona-fide natural-born citizen of this country. Obama is, in fact, an illegitimate President that has never provided a simple birth certificate to prove that he is eligible to be President.

It is your comments to Gloria and others here on this post that have been shameful and mean spirited. You have made several personal attacks against people here that merely called into question Obama's citizenship status, and personal attacks are highly immature and inappropriate on this site. Shame on you, Sir!

Respecting the office of the Presidency and respecting the individual that holds that office are 2 entirely separate things. No right-minded American should ever support an illegitimate usurper in the White House, and Obama is the first "President" of this country that has never proven his citizenship status as required by the Constitution. Gloria, and other patriotic Americans, are fully entitled to call into question why Obama refuses to go public with his birth certificate - this does NOT constitute mistreatment of Obama, as you wrongly suggested.

It is you that are wrong about Obama, and it is you that has tried to pick fights with people here for trying to address Obama's hidden "locked-up-in-a-vault" birth certificate - so please don't even pretend to be the victim here. You are the victimizer, and it is the rest of us that are ashamed of you. So please tone done your personal attacks on this forum and be more respectful of others if you want the rest of us to be civil with you and respect you. (By the way, I happen to look forward to having civil conversations with you - as long as you can stop your personal attacks against those of us that do not support your illegitimate hero Obama.)

First off "Shame on you sir" made me laugh. Second off, did you even read what I originally replied to? "HE HATES US AND HE HATES AMERICA". That IS just BS. well, I suppose it's possible, but there is no evidence for it. And as I already said, I don't like Obama, but I have seen no evidence of what you people claim here, that he is not a legal citizen, so I maintain my effort to knock some decency into you people.

As this is a public forum for intelligent discussions on very serious issues affecting this country, just how exactly do you plan to "knock some decency" into us???!!! Those are not the words of a rational, intelligent, and mature human being. That sounded more like an arrogant threat than a common courtesy. If you cannot be decent with folks here and stop attacking them, then you do not belong here, Sir. (And I care less about the laughter of arrogant fools.)

This thread of discussion is based on the very fact that Obama has never provided a legitimate birth certificate to prove that he is a natural-born citizen in full compliance with the requirements of our U.S. Constitution. Instead has Obama hired a team of attorneys to lock up his birth certificate and college records that would have proved he received financial aid and scholarships as a foreign student in this country. To this date has Obama spent well over $800,000 to his team of attorneys to keep his records sealed. Inquiring minds want to know why!

If Obama is really a natural-born citizen, as our Constitution absolutely requires for all our presidents, then why doesn't he pay the 10 or 20 bucks to reveal his birth certificate and end the controversy? The fact that he has his records sealed up tight and protected by a team of attorneys should tell even you that he is hiding something.

Now - if you wish to be civil and respond to this discussion in an intelligent and courteous manner, please do so. We welcome intelligent discussions. But trying to pick personal fights with people and knocking your version of "decency" into our heads will only get you banned off this site for abusive behavior. Gloria was entitled to state her opinions without you attacking her or making fun of her. It is your behavior that has been immature and abusive, so shame on you again! He was in fact an "International Student", the gentleman from Ohio, a Democrat, who investigated and brought a lawsuit about BO's birth certificate provided copies of BO's student record from Jakarta Indonesia, a majority Muslim nation. Those records not only show BO registered as a Muslim but as an Indonesian citizen. I am just puzzled as to why this issue was not taken seriously. It's not bad enough the guy has zero qualifications to sit in the oval office, but he may not even be a citizen. Does anyone else not see a problem with what is currently happening?

Note that his schools records are not available. Maybe not for his grades but because he was an "International Student"?

That's not entirely correct. ANYONE who is born on U.S. soil is automatically a U.S. citizen regardless of the citizenship of the parents. This is why the illegal issue is such a problem, pregnant women coming here and having their baby in the States, that is why they are called anchor babies. You are correct that an immigrant who was naturalized cannot hold the office. The was also an issue raised about McCain because he was born in Panama while his father was stationed there with the military, hence he was also not born on U.S. soil. As I recall they resolved that since he had an American Birth Certificate.
