Obama's Citizenship
Dave Suggested that we start a thread under Keeping America Safe to gather up knowledge about Obama's Citizenship and his related qualification to serve as President. If Obama is an interloper, as may be the case, then that certainly compromises the security of the nation.
Dave and I will gather up some of the discussions in this thread and consolidate them here. Our goal should be to work towards a fact base on this topic that is verifiable. This we should do as it isn't helpful to the cause to circulate rumors.

I was following the Ortiz Case (Bennett v Obama) and the Keyes Case (?).
The Ortiz case (Bennett v Obama) was dismissed by Judge Carter. There is still some paperwork moving along. see http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/chat/2382628/posts?page=92. -

Obama's father was not an American citizen. I believe he was a citizen of GB. I have limited confidence in Snopes as I have found them to be either in error or slow on the uptake in different issues. The latter wouldn't be the case here, however. The point here for me is the Consitution. It's as simple as that. It was/is Obama's behaviors that validate the claim of illegitimacy. The fact that Soros is behind him, because of his choices for Czars, because of his push AWAY from America and it's traditions, laws etc. that have supported, for me, the claim against him. Couple that with the money he has used to hide even his school records in Indonesia which took place at a time when attendence required Indonesian citizenship and there's enough to at least motivate suspicion. But most importantly if the claim is correct we have not an opposition administration but what could be construed as much more then that. Yes it bothers me and until Obama comes clean it will. It may not bother others and that's fine.

The qualifications for president are "No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."
Qualifications are
1. Natural born citizen, which means I think just born on US soil. There are arguments about that, and I'm using the Heritage Foundation's Constitution as my authority. The other argument is whether, or not, his father's citizenship makes any difference. The doctrine mentioned in the Heritage book is jus soli and by that the father's birthplace is irrelevant.
2. 35 years old -- no question here
3. 14-year resident within the US. By this qualification, I think, he could have been a resident of Indonesia for a time and still be eligible to be president. There is a 21 year gap between age and years of residency, which implies someone could have given up citizenship and then obtained it again.
I think the only real question is whether, or not, he was born in Hawaii.
Forgetting Soros and all the other extraneous stuff, is this what you understand? -

This reference predates discussions about Obama's citizenship and appears to be a reasonably complete description of the issues we are discussing. -

Thanks for providing theobamafile link, which is a great collection of information. I've now bookmarked it.
The Dellinger testimony before Congress contradicts the assertions I've seen in the obamafile and elsewhere that both of ZERO's parents must be US citizens in order for Obama to be a natural born citizen. From the paper "1 Indeed, the common law's inclusive rule of citizenship by birth defined "the People" who created the Constitution. "The Constitution itself does not make the citizens; it is, in fact, made by them. It only . . . recognizes such of them as are natural -- home-born." Citizenship, 10 Op. Att'y Gen. 382, 389 (1862). "
I don't know what to believe here, as the arguments supporting, and contradicting, his status as a natural born citizen are strong in my mind. At this point in time I simply apply Occam's Razor and conclude that the simplest explanation that explains the facts is the one I accept.
Either he simply is a natural born citizen or not. It seems in test after test when it matters he has been found to be a natural born citizen. Therefore there is a HUGE conspiracy or he is a natural born citizen. I can't imagine a conspiracy of this magnitude working (I could be wrong) without eventual discovery and so I have to accept the simple explanation that he is a natural born citizen.
I do agree that it is difficult to come up with an explanation as to why he simply doesn't release his birth certificate rather than spending a ton of money to keep it held secret. I continue to be very bothered that there isn't a simple explanation for his behavior in this regards. -
