This has been obummer's plan all along to get us protesting like Egpt and Greece.

Not broadcasted on the Mass Media is that ACORN is involved. An orginization often funded by BO / dems with billions of tax dollars, and proven to be guilty of voter fraud. The protester aren't protesters at all but anti captializim rebles. Hoping to bring down the present form of goverment for full blown socializim. They'er just pawns in the Commie take over of the US. Or what I call. Lazy Scum Bags. 2 million peaceful demonstraters can gather at the steps of the capital and the Media barely covers it. 40 loosers group around the door of Bank of America and we are on the brink of civil war..

These are not serious people and should be dealt with by the authorities in a manner comensurate to their idiocy and criminality.

I would like to respectfully disagree with most of the posters here.

(1) Of course the MSM, the Left in all its forms, the Democrats, the labor unions, ACORN ... all will love OWS and will and are doing all they can to popularize it. They see it as their answer to the Tea Party.

(2) Of course, every Loony Tune in the country will jump into OWS with all four feet. Druggies, Lesbian Vegans, Revolutionary Communists ... all of them will be there.

(3) Of course, we can expect the various Leninist sects to struggle to take over the leadership of OWS (and fight viciously among themselves as they do so). Look for Workers World (through their front group ANSWER), the Revolutionary Communist Party, the Progressive Labor Party, the Communist Party, to be fighting for leadership.

(4) Of course, all the faults of the young will be displayed, since (unlike the Tea Party), the average age of the protesters puts many of them still in their extended childhood phase.

But...  if you think this is just a media-invented, phoney, astro-turf, Far Left-spawned fake ... you are wrong. All the charges made by people here against OWS -- that it's an invention of outside agitators, a creation of the media, etc -- were made by the Left against the Tea Party.

But both OWS and the Tea Party represent genuine mass sentiment. Neither could have arisen five years ago. It has taken the crisis in our country (and the world) to mobilize previously politically passive people.

Now ... what should our attitude to OWS be? I assert that there are many people who sympathyze with OWS -- perhaps even some who come down to the occupation sites -- who basically are not really going to be sympathetic with the pro-statist, socialist aims of OWS's leaders.

Note that so far, the OWS movement has not clarified its demands. They are quite clear about what they are against -- the government bailing out the banks -- but not what they are for. When they have to start getting specific about what  they are for, contradictions will open up between the radicals and the moderates.

Our task should be to exacerbate those contradictions by pushing the OWS leaders to come up with a concrete set of demands. Of course, what the leaders really want is some form of European statist intervention -- perhaps nationalizing the banks, nationalizing more industry, a massive extension of social welfare measures, and above all, massive taxation of anyone they see as rich, with any difference between the costs of their programs and money taken in by taxes to be made up by more borrowing: in short, they want the US to become like Greece.

Once this radical program becomes clear, their support will recede. We need to help them make it clear.

Also: from our point of view, the best thing that could come out of OWS is a left-wing Third Party. A lot of OWS activists don't like the Democrats or Obama, so this is a real possibility. It would be a godsend to the Republican Party were this to happen.

So ... go down to your nearest "Occupy" site and start talking up a Third Party!

There is no comparison between the Tea party and this gang of loosers. Everyone knows what the Tea party stands for and what there beef is these loosers not so much. The press lie against the Tea party, the press lie for the loosers and cover up all the dirt that is going on. As they do with Burack Obama, I could go on and on but there is no comparison that I can see.
I agree with much of your post Douglas. Have you not found it odd that FOX NEWS has not been able to get one of these OWS people for an interview? That tells me they are just out to protest. If they had a REAL message then they would be on the news as guests explaining their position. I am sur MSNBC would have one of them first. I may be wrong. Have any of you seen such an interview anywhere in the news?
Nope!  We here in America do not need a third party guy!  Ralph Nader was enough of that!
Where is their bailout? See HELLO SUCKER

They are a bunch of hypocritical leeches. When they start marching in front of the White House and George Soros' apartment, I can take them slightly serious. It's almost like Woodstock all over again, the mess, the smell, the sex out in the open, the public defecation. I mean what is it they are trying to accomplish exactly? Their signs read one thing, but they are going about this thing the wrong way. They should be going against the White House, and the teachers who indoctrinated them. They are nothing more than useful idiots. My daughter who will be 19 soon, asked me why they are doing what they're doing. She says it doesn't make sense to her.

Yesterday I heard it suggested that Barack Obama might have made a fatal mistake by embracing this movement.D*** Morris opined that George McGovern effectively wrecked his own campaign back in the sixties when he embraced the Chicago rioters at the Democrat convention. I say from D*** Morris's mouth to God's ear.

Its a game to them. Boy will they be surprised when SHTF.

Just remember when they come for your guns make sure you give them the bullets first.
