He was sentenced to life in prision, does this not include dieing in there??? including old age or cancer....

Was it wrong to release a degenerate POS - Was it? Should we care that he is in unbearable pain? Not I. Do I believe that he "only has" x-# of days, weeks to live? No.
So, in reality, the hairy scum received better treatment in prison than he ever would have in the third world community. Value of a killing machine? Nothing - He'd have been replaced by a new trainee to take his place in blowing up and killing innocent people, including himself (should it be an incidental). Terrorists do NOT care; they use their own and sell their own kids for use as suicide bombers.
Look at this issue a little further: What is the difference between what the Scottish leader and what your American president is doing by closing GITMO?
Apologizing to the entire world because of the "unacceptable illicit behavior" of US citizens? Sympathizing with "religious radicals" who "beheaded, gutted, shredded, mutilated, burned American people alive?" Your president is turning these murderers loose on America so as to allow them to resume pre-911 activities, and you honestly believe this arrogant little hussein is supportive of our country?
Why is the isolated incident of the release of the prisoner by Scotland an issue, and yet the release of the bundle of terrorists by the "messiah" just another productive day in improving security of the United States.
Why is the action of the Scottish leader more dastardly or cowardly than that of "Mr Walketh on Water?"

Everyone in this world is going to die one day then why to catch criminals & punish them.....thats what this incident shows.....setting a very wrong example to encourage the wanne be terrorists.....Abdel Baset Ali is the person responsible for the death of 270 people & he is free now....wow......IS THIS JUSTICE ??????

Can the 2 people that voted no on this poll that said it was NOT wrong to release the Lockerbie bomber can you please delete yourself from this site? We are conservatives on here and I myself would prefer not to be in the company of cold blood murderer sympathisers. And if for some freak reason your my friend I am trying to nicely ask you to delete yourself off my friend list. Anyone that could have ANY sympathy whatsoever for an evil, unconscionable, stone cold hearted mass murderer of so many innocent, helpless and unknowing people does not get to grace themselves in my presence or take up any of my time. This man is having the wrath of God wreaked upon him and is reaping what he sowed.

The guy himself may very well have been innocent, acting as a (paid) fall guy for Qaddafi's regime. The money spent keeping him alive in jail for all those years would have been better spent kicking Qaddafi's ass to kingdom come.
