Wednesday night President Obama addressed Congress and the nation on his plan for healthcare reform.

What are your thoughts of his speech?

I found a Matlock rerun more interesting ... so started watching that instead.

Besides, all the pundits from now through Sunday will tell me later what he said, what he didn't say, what he should have said instead, what they heard him say, and what he meant to say instead of what he did say. By then it won't matter much what he actually did say.
My apologies...the quarter-finals.
same speech used 100 times before. Watch Law and Order instead.
Just a lot of fluff!!!
fluff out of his ass, which explains BO! Whew, the stench!
Not only did Obama do a great democrat tap-dance with the truth, he said all of the correct "emotionally charged" words that he knows will work. Those of us who know better saw through the bull. What really
rubbed my rhubarb the wrong way was the way the Republicans stood and applauded with the democrats.
When George W. made speeches, not only did the democrats NOT stand up, they didn't even have the
decency to applaud. Talk about a "lack of breeding"!!!!!!!

Angry Boomer
Not in my lifetime have I seen such a spirit of discontent and utter disregard for a sitting President. It is impossible to be bi-partisan when that requires a complete surrender of closely held beliefs and values. Bipartisanship in this Congress means to simply surrender and "do it our way". I fear for the safety of our Union when I see a President , addressing a joint session of Congress, the recipient of heckling and jeers. However, despite the show of disagreement, people are being divided and forced to choose a path that places them in direct opposition to the President. The tenor of political discussion in our Country is taking a path that hasn't ben followed since 1859. It is time for people to wake up and become involved in the political process that is gathering speed towards a disastrous end.
I think he's a silver-tongued devil. I'm an insurance agent who has spent hours upon hours actually READING that enormous House bill (3200), and can tell you that it prohibits private paying for healthcare, it includes pork in there that provides the president a private security force (what the heck is the secret service for??), and that it cuts $500 billion from Medicare, which is already going broke. Small employers will dump their employees into the public option in droves, and that's how Obama will establish control over the healthcare of the entire nation, solidifying his first step into socialism. Free market captialism dictates that cost containment, no matter how rosy a picture you try to paint of it, ends up in rationing. (ie, what we see with our post office right now).

I've never seen anyone lie through their teeth like that.
If you haven't seen footage of some of Hitler's early speeches, I encourage anyone to tape some History channel specials and compare these two guys.

Scariest thing I've ever seen.

Huge applause to the ballsy Republican that called out that he was a LIAR though. I'd like to shake that guy's hand, whoever he was.
So what can we do? We have to do something. My husband is even starting to say "Maybe it's a good thing. We pay so much for our Kaiser that we could use a cheaper medical option." I wanted to divorce him on the spot. I went into a tirade about how he is buying into the eloquent b******* this guy is dishing out. God Damn it!
Karen, I feel the same way. My husband is a declared Democrat. We don't talk about anything anymore concerning politics. Hang in there.
Good luck ladies! I actually converted my "non-voting" husband this year! Yay!
did not watch don't want to hear his lies. obama is a liar, scum& Terrorist
