I agree Iit was the one and only time it was fun to look at Nancy the pearls Pelosi's face otherwise she disgust me. What would she do without Botox?

Predictable. This speech was only slightly more specific than the "snake oil" the liberals have been trying to sell us all summer. Offering any gullible republican a slight tryout drizzle of tort reform. Oh we (conservatives) are still up to those awful lies and scare tactics. Oh we just keep making up the things like death panels, rationing, etc... and of course, "you can keep your health insurance and your doctor". Hey BHO - America ain't buyin' it!

why is it you liberal loons think the government is there for you to stick your hands out and get free health care. idiots if it is free it is to good to be true just like the damn social secuirity and medicare this is about controlling your lives. it is your fault you don't have health care if you choose to be poor you will always be poor get off your asses and get a job and if you loose your job then go get another one. learn to survive on your own take care of your own needs just like your parents and grand parents and great grand parents. and if you didn't put away for a rainy day and you loose every thing well join the fracking club. pick yourself up and dust your self off and make your own way in this life and quit waiting on somebody to save you. other people started off with nothing in this life and made something of their selves. only lazy ass people sitting in thier rocking chairs have thier hands out waiting on thier next meal being poor is no excuse for stupidity.
This is a letter I wrote to the editor of our local paper a liberal rag and is not intended for anyone on this site.

Of course, he always gives a great speech. However, I still don't trust him. Help me out here, but I'm unemployed and don't have health insurance because I can't afford it. According to his plan, I will be mandated to buy it. Now if I have to bail out the banks, auto industry, people who can't afford their homes, where is my bailout? He says everyone should not pay for my health expenses. Where in the world is the logic? Which way is it? Help those in need or not? It's all pure politics. I don't think I can stand another 3 years of him!!!!!!

Donna...You are right. You will be forced to buy insurance, regardless of your wishes. Indications are great that we will regain the House in the mid-terms in 2010 and a remote possibility we can win the Senate. That will give us breathing room until the 2012 elections, where if we do everything right, we will have a new administration that can reverse much of the damage he has and will do. We are resiliant as is evidenced after the Carter administration.

I hope I am too. I've got a political blog at www.hotlinecy.com/blog.htm. You can click on the link to Obama's Health Plan in Plain English and get a handle on what the 1,000 plus bill covers. I did not put this together. A friend sent it to me, but I did check out many of the notes and found them to be accurate.
