What can I say this is what Barack Obama is all about. He hates the American Free Market and the American Way of Life. He is trying to do what he said he would Change America. God Help us All. But we the American People will not give up the fight against the liberal shallow jack asses the left is. He said nothing different. He said what he always says. I want to destroy the American Way of Life. Remember you are the special interest he's talking about. You in his mind can't think for yourself. This man doesn'r deserve the title President. He nothing but a dictator in waiting.
The Senator from South Carolina wrapped it up in ONE WORD ~ L I E ~ !!
Didn't watch...went to church, where Obama should be going.
ARROGANT, as always. Alligator mouth with a hummingbird butt! Did you hear congressman Wilson shout out "that's a lie". He did apologize for the out burst but not for saying "it was a lie!" Way to go Joe!
Is it me or does he seem to be getting a little unhinged, I mean one bad month and ooooo...Mr. "O" is getting mad....
r u kidding me George Bush took it from them for 8 YEARS!!!!!!! and never broke a sweat...this guy is an amateur
Best part was when Joe Wilson, (Rep) (R) SC yelled out "YOu Lie"!
My thoughts on this for what its worth

1) Insurance companies will be required to...that really is the whole idea regards the private sector. Drive up their cost and premiums and offer a less costly alternative. And don't forget about future OMNIBUS bills written by Congress and laden with all kinds of requirements to increase the cost of doing business as a private sector insurer. If government decides to drive the private sector out of the insurance business, it can do it in a heartbeat and no one can stop it.

Now once private insurers have largely abandoned the health insurance business, you are left with the "more efficient" single-payer system, and the closet door is unlocked and guess who comes out to greet you, Ezekiel Emanuel...we are left with Gov controlling your healthcare, your well being, your life.

2) Not much discussion of tort and malpractice reform and no discussion what government would do to keep the private sector in the game. I didn't hear anything that would suggest that an employer who wants to abandon a private plan cannot do that. In fact, the employer would be able to do that or just simply and gladly accept a tax penalty for not insuring its employees because it is less expensive than keeping what they have, especially if government is driving the premiums up. No problem, the government plan is the alternative option.

The Obama proposal is specifically designed to move most people into a public plan over time and rest assured that it would be a different kind of insurance than what will be available to the most important "contributors" in society. A two-tiered healthcare system is an inevitability. Have and have nots is the way of the world. Private clinics and private hospitals for those who can afford it (or have been granted that) and a healthcare nightmare for anyone else.

As to Obama's passion to provide healthcare for one and all...

"There is a sublime thieving in all giving."

Eric Hoffer
Tonights Obama speech was a typical one. Well delivered, heavy on objectives, light on methods and details. It lacked any real information about tort reform and interstate insurance availability. The "public" option is included as that whatever is passed now will be a stepping stone to a one-payer system. At least that's what I think. He never mentioned behavioral social manipulation or minority affairs departments, both of which I find detestable and unAmerican. But I must give credit where credit it due and Obama always sounds sincere. Somehow between his word and his deed and decisions there is a disconnect. I don't believe the government has a place in our healthcare except for very extenuating circumstances of last resort. And NO ONE can convince me that ANY legislations requiring over 1100 pages is unique to its stated objective. In other words, there a lot more in the present bill then healthcare reform. There has to be.
It was nothing more than plain old BS!
Did anyone hear the speech when he was comparing the US Postal Service to Fed-ex and UPS? He acknowledged that Fed-ex and UPS were successful companies and the US Postal Service was having problems?
Okay, didn't he contradict his own beliefs? Fed-ex/UPS private run....US Postal Service government run...hmmmm? I only heard a bit of this speech on the Hannity show. Does anyone remember it???
My husband and I went out to dinner just so we could get away from the “lier in chief”. They had him on the tv in the bar so we had to mute the tv so I wouldn’t have to listen to this jerk otherwise I would end up puking up my dinner.
Even tho he apologized..at least Rep. Joe Wilson spoke the truth that the other politicians wouldn't. I thought Pelosi was gonna pass out!

What a waste of my time to watch such lies...
