Guess what people? The 2010 elections are just around the corner. Has anyone read "Why I started TCUnation?" It seems like we are all in this mode of b******* and whining. Trolls don't worry you are fine, I expect that from you. But everyone else, it's time grab a bat and step up to the plate.

I admit I'm guilty of it too. But, for the past week I turned off talk radio and the news just to clear my head. Wow, the world still turns. Then, I got to thinking, all our theories were correct. Universal healthcare, bailouts, more taxes, and a true socialist agenda is staring US right in the face. That's scary.

Our Founding Fathers rose up against their country. Yes, they took up arms against their government, but that's all they could do. However, they left US with a powerful weapon - "The right to Vote".

In about a year you will get to exercise that right, peacefully, and overturn a runaway government and put new people in place to begin rebuilding our great country. What country in the history of man has such an opportunity?

Now guess what? You will never elect the "perfect" conservative! I know that may be shocking to hear but no candidate is going to be "all things" to "all people". Just understand that and move on. The bigger problem is we have a socialist left wing determined to destroy what the Founding Fathers built. Pick your candidate but be willing to give a little if they do not actually make it on the ballot.

To put it plainly, if conservatives, republicans, independents etc... continue to bicker among one another, you will not have to worry about elections in the future. Socialist countries don't have huge party problems.

So I ask you, "What is the problem here people?". It's now or it's possibly never. The 2010 elections will be the most important mid-term elections ever held.

I started TCUnation for Patriots ready to begin the battle to win OUR country back!
Loyalist have been replaced with Socialists and muskets with the ballot box.

In the coming weeks TCUnation will begin recruiting Patriots who are ready for that challenge. And, for the good of our country we must put some of our differences aside to win this battle.

Our first initiative is to refocus on State Groups. Join your state group, contribute, or better yet be a leader in your state group.

Regan repeatedly spoke of a "shining city upon the hill". He describes it in his farewell address on January 11, 1989.

"I've spoken of the Shining City all my political life. …In my mind it was a tall, proud city built on rocks stronger than oceans, windswept, God-blessed, and teeming with people of all kinds living in harmony and peace; a city with free ports that hummed with commerce and creativity. And if there had to be city walls, the walls had doors and the doors were open to anyone with the will and the heart to get here. That's how I saw it, and see it still."

TCUnation and it's members should be guiding lights to such a place. The final paragraph of his speech are words we should seek to speak again:

"We've done our part. And as I walk off into the city streets, a final word to the men and women of the Reagan revolution, the men and women across America who for eight years did the work that brought America back. My friends: We did it. We weren't just marking time. We made a difference. We made the city stronger. We made the city freer, and we left her in good hands. All in all, not bad, not bad at all."
--Reagan's farewell address

I plan on hearing those words again. How about you?

Reading your sentence gave me a feeling of pride & "real" hope. WE WILL SOMEDAY BE ABLE TO LOOK AT THE OFFICE OF POTUS WITH PRIDE. :>)
The problem? The problem is we have too many career politicians wanting the power, ron paul, newt, and a whole bunch of others, and they all call themselves conservative. True you stand them next to nancy or barbara or bho and they look like the real thing but . . . They all fit into one mold, "career politician", they know how to play the game and all try to best one another. These are not true conservatives, just career politicians playing the game for you! Our whole system needs to be reworked; 1)Term limits & length of term 2) WAGES WE pay them and their ability to give themselves a raise, 3) vetting & accountability for each and every candidate, 4)judges, no life terms for ANY PUBLIC OFFICE!!!!!!! No appointing judges, 5)all public offices are filled in the same manor, by being voted into office by the people, 6) no CZARS, all public offices are filled in the same manor, by being voted into office by the people.

1)Ideally I'd like to see our representatives in congress get a middle class wage, a single term of 3 or 4 years and allowed to be reinstated once if they win the seat by 70% of the vote. And once they have served never to be elected to that level of office again.

2)Wages, like I said a middle class salary and the PEOPLE of the state they represent will vote their wages.

3)ALL CANDIDATES will be vetted. How? I'll need help on this one but I'm thinking of having a third party of volunteers do the work. But we must know everything there is to know about ALL candidates and the knowledge must be available to the public.

4) Judges, no life terms to any public office and no presidential appointments!

5) All public officials are to be voted into office by the people.

6) NO CZARS, all public officials will be voted into office by the people!!!

Just my two cents but somehow WE THE PEOPLE need to take back our country and we had better start soon or there won't be a country to take back.

Well, it's the need to vent. The Left vent on us everyday. And I know two wrongs don't make a hot fudge sundae. But there are some people in the government and especially in the Republican party who deserve to hear our whining and moaning. They NEED to hear it. They need to know that consequences will arise out of having to whine and moan in the first place. Thus, Tuesday, and perhaps 2010 and 2012.

For the most part, I'm done with whining. But I sent in a slice to the RNC. I want them to know that just because they won those elections, that those are no indication that they are off the hook. They have much work to do to convince me - and this whole country - that they will restore the nation to the way our founders intended. And we all need to restore our nation to that status. It works best and completely properly that way.

Otherwise, I humbly agree with you, and go on doing what I can for my part. It isn't much, but, perhaps incrementally, it may help.

I wish for all of us everything we would wish for our country and ourselves.

I turned off talk radio and news outlets during the 2008 primary season. While at a candidates forum where we had 12 people running for a single seat the responses from both the candidates and the questions from the people were little more than soundbites from media outlets and talk radio.
I sat there and said OMG. people are have truly become little more than programmed puppets who are unable to think critically on their own, but only ape what they hear or are told.
In 2004 I watched Pat Toomey get slain in our state by the faux conservative Rick Santorum and GW Bush as they said they needed Arlen. People became apologists for their action, I started to work against them for under cutting conservatives in favor of a big government party.

Hi Earl,

I'm with you and understand the urgency of your message. But, there are more pressing and immediate issues that we all need to address.

Understanding Sovereignty

The Tenth Amendment to the Constitution, says that all enumerated (specific) rights not allotted to our Federal Government are part of our State and Individual rights. These enumerated rights are found in Article 1, section 8 of the Constitution. Any, law enacted by the Federal Government, that is not covered by Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution is a violation of our State and Individual sovereignties.

This is a vague concept and its meaning is clouded. So, lets clear it up. All laws that are needed for the protection and operation of any individual State are specific to that State. Would the laws, in Aspen Colorado, that deal with the operation and maintenance of ski lifts make sense if they were applied in El Paso Texas? Would the laws that protect the American Buffalo in Yellowstone Park make sense in NYC's Central Park? Would the strict gun laws in California make sense in a sparsely populated hunting state like Wyoming?

Soon our Federal Government is going to try and shove "Cap and Trade", "Cap and Rebate", or "Cap and Flop" (whatever they want to call it), down our throats. This will put an end to Individual State's rights and turn our Nation into a Police State with the EPA acting as 'Carbon Cops'. This direct assault on our Tenth Amendment rights, completely ignores the individual needs of each State. Are the Carbon Footprint needs, in a densely populated topography like the San Joaquin Valley of California, the same as the sparsely populated, wind blown coast of Maine?

"Cap and Flop" is a broad reaching insanity that will require all factories and power generation plants to install extremely expensive Carbon Scrubbers on every smoke stack in America. The power companies will have no choice, but to pass this cost onto the consumer (driving up our electric bills). It will also vest in the EPA, the right to come into our homes and write 'tickets' (Just like a cop) to anyone who exceeds their individual Carbon Allotment. Our personal lives and homes will no longer be our own. If you own a home that does not meet the EPA's carbon standard, you will not be able to sell your home. If you need to use your car to make an unscheduled trip to the store to buy dog food you will have to pay a fine to the EPA cops. This will affect ALL of us, Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Conservatives, Tea Partiers, Progressives, no matter where we live.

Lets look at what happens when the Federal Government is in charge of a major part of our economy. Originally the Constitution made no provision for National Commerce. This was vested in the Individual States, but that was changed by James Madison early on in our history and is now what drives Wall Street. Due to some greedy, pudgy, little, bald-headed, Wall-streeters, that are so pathetic they can only stroke their egos by grubbing for power and money, our national economy recently failed. If this part of our economy was vested in the individual states, (as it was originally), these little twerps might have taken down a state, or two, but they would not have taken down our entire economy.

Please! I urgently implore each and every one of you to write your Congressional Representatives and tell them that you oppose "Cap and Trade", "Cap and Flop" or whatever they want to call it.
