Hell, NO! Pres. Obama didn't even bother to apologize to the officer for his assinine remarks, let alone get his facts straight before he opened hs mouth and spouted racially inciteful comments. It's another simple case of playing the race card to get attention and trying to make sure racism in America never goes away.

IMHO, by meeting with them Sgt. Crowley will only be legitimizing their position. I've heard the transcripts of the altercation - he did nothing wrong. He is owed an apology from Obama and Gates and they need to do it publicly.

The question is irrelevant. The Obama invitation was only rhetorical - just ask Sean Hannity. President Obama never really planned to bring them to the White House. It was a 'feel good' gesture, like so many of his.

No way!!! Now let's see....Barrack Hussein Obama has now called police stupid....all doctors are greedy and perform whatever surgeries will pay them the most money......soldiers, military and citizens against abortion are extremists,.....more dangerous than terrorists!!!! All small business owners are greedy and unpatriotic and should WANT to share their wealth!!!! It's time that we, as American citizens and patriots, should stand up for our freedoms. Sgt. Crowley can begin to do that by NOT succombing to a meeting where he will be told how bad it is for the black man. Sgt. Crowley is not an idiot. He has dedicated his life and career to teaching others about profiling and equality of treatment. Apparently most of our sensitivity training in this country continues to push the theory that WHITE PEOPLE must learn to be more sensitive to other races. The curricula needs to be rewritten and enhanced to teach blacks, hispanics and any "non-white" how it is to be a white man in this America now. EEO unleveled the field for the white man with the passing of the Equal Rights Amendment some 30+years ago. Equality comes when ALL people are treated equally no matter what the color of the skin!!!

There is no way this turns out well for Sgt. Crowley. He has nothing to gain and everything to lose. While I understand that his refusal could be twisted into a "see, this proves racism - we reached out and he refused" talking point, I think more harm could come from his agreeing to the meeting.

No....He would be acquiescing to Obama's non-apology. Thereby, still agreeing that Obama called the police actions stupid....just in a different way. Therefore, he would be agreeing with the insult.
