Absolutely not!!! After all Obama said, to just accept a beer in place of a formal apology is apauling... I would hate to think he would sell out for a beer with the President. What is that saying???

no way in hell should he go to the white house. Obama is a flaming racists and he should be called out for that. Instead he just wants to make all of this go away with this stupid little meet and greet. This officer is better than this. He is a hard working american who does not deserve this. I say "Thanks but no thank". Besides, since when is the white house just some picnic area. Show some respect for it Obama.

I have do doubt there were apologies all around the table. Obama painted himself into a corner with that Bidenesque gaffe and to apologize in public would have weakened his status with a black community who are ultra-sensitive to racial profiling.

Had Gates, a card carrying racist, backed off his allegations (fat chance) and made a public apology, it would have given Obama an out. Instead he had to apologize in private and make a public showing of conciliation.

This will take "ObamaGate" (to borrow a phrase) off the table and allow Obamacare to recapture the media's attention, where Obama desperately needs it.

I think a "rumor" will surface that the President apologized and he will not own up to it or deny it. This will appease many who are on the fence with this.

Integrity, individual responsibility and justice will always take a back seat to Washington politics.

Hell no! This shouldn't have been a big deal! If my neighbors thought someone was breaking into my home, I would be grateful that they called the police. This is just another way for a black man to try to push this racism crap! If you act that way towards the police weather you are white, black, pink or purple you will be arrested!
