The Tea Party has effectively voted for cutting unemployment benifits and raising taxes. I dont understand the rationale!?!? Are all of the members of this organization employed? Do they Like higher taxes?

I'll be 59 in Feb. I gotta admit even though we have different opinions, we have a great political process!

And even though I may not always agree with what you say; I defend your right to say it...

God bless you with the decernment to help America..

" If " we have zero percent taxes, how are we to pay for the USS George Washington to patrol the North China Sea at the cost of $186,000 per day?

...or pay for the other nine aircraft carriers in the Nimitz-class division at $186,000 per day, EACH, as well?

I seriously don't understand how the federal government even meets its payroll.

I think the issue is that conservatives need to define how much government we are willing to pay for and not leave the issue ambiguous for the Washington politicians to speculate on and tell us what we'll pay for.

We need to tell them!

I also see that good ol' Scott Brown is siding with the Democrats.  RINO!

I agree Roger, but will they listen? I see that neither party is for the People. "We will pass the bill when we can have this or that." I see our government is playing games with our laws and us! They are acting like children. Well, I am fed up! I will be in touch with my Tea Party and others. There needs to be some common sense found. I have always said Scott Brown was not a true Conservative. The people of Mass. were tricked. I am thinking we have been also...

I haven't thought about it that way. I agree, when the election is over then there should be no more business until the newly elected take office. Yeah! Let's outlaw the lame duck session!
