Trolls - Who are they?
As most of you know I started TCUnation on January 20, 2009 and now we have over 14,000 members. 99% of you are great members and have great contributions to the site or hopefully find TCUnation informative or a place to meet people with similar ideas.
Obviously with so many members there will be a few bad apples trying to disrupt the site. Typically this is labeled a "troll" and assumed to be a "non-conservative" trying to stir up trouble. Note I said trouble as healthy debate is encouraged.
So what do you do about these so-called trolls?
Well I can ban them right? Sure but they will just return with another fake account. In the words of one who emailed me; "F*** You A**h***! Ban me, I'll just sign up again".
What about the moderators? Well they have a tough job and have their hands full. Sure they can engage in warnings and delete posts but that also is pretty futile.
So far I've been threatened by trolls, cussed out, and supposedly turned in to the FBI. I doubt the latter as most of them are so low on the totem poll I doubt anyone would listen.
So think about what a "troll" really is:
1. Someone too scared or insecure to post any information about themselves.
2. They sit in front of their computer all day waiting to prey on someone.
3. They cannot think for themselves, just use talking points rather than intelligent debate.
4. Probably too uninformed to contribute to sites that "think like them"
5. Someone seeking attention
6. No original or individual thought. Rather than think all they can do is attack others.
In the words of Mark Levin they are a "drone".
Trolls are not just on TCUnation they are everywhere. It's the way the left works. Just look at the town hall meetings where they have to bus "trolls" in with pre-made signs to try to drown out the American people.
I will say that a "troll" does not mean a liberal or person with left views. They are certainly welcome to engage appropriatley on TCUnation.
So as we move forward I will work to keep TCUnation enjoyable for you Great American Patriots. Trolls will come and go. Some may get banned and most all will be ignored.
I hope you will work with moderators, as their job is tough, and when you come across a "troll" just chalk it up to another insecure drone seeking attention.

Earl honey I have been attacked by trolls for years - if you post the truth you are automatically part of several official agency lists and then there is just the regular morons. When I posted info on H.A.A.R.P. and the patents used for it I got on a watch list. My FBI file is getting bigger each week! ha!
I used to ban them and like you said they just get new ones. What you can do is put a list of offenders for others to see.

In July 2008 I made a vid which listed the banks to go under - that week they made 25 hate vids about me! stupid people make me laugh
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THERE ARE AGENTS THAT WATCH US - NGA - FBI - NSA - CIA - DHS they all have trolls to find people against the administration.

Yep that's them alright. It gives a good dipiction of how they are viewed by those of us who would rather they not force their negative and combative opinions where they are not welcomed. Good Job Jim. I would also like to I thank Earl for this dicussion as I believe it has helped to open eyes on both sides of the fence. I know it must take an enormous amount of time to keep this together.

Perhaps you could just keep deleting them. In fact, I believe you may have the option of banning their IP address, as well. When a mosquito lands on your arm, you don't just leave it there. You swat it off or smash it. Will a mosquito (troll) kill you? No. But there is no valid reason to allow someone to annoy you just because they keep coming back. My 2 cents. Great site. Great job. Keep up the good work, brother.

Thank you for the heads up. I feel sorry for the "trolls". They don't really have lives, and they're either too
stupid or too ignorant to learn our history, think for themselves, or listen to any opposing views with an open
mind. I wouldn't ignore them, because we have ignored the secularists, far left, and radicals for too long with
out standing up to them. We have been silent too long! That's why they they are taking over the government and society. Maybe we should tell them to either shut up and sit down, or if they don't like it here, there's the
door. Move to another country that they do like. There are planes leaving America all the time.

First let me say, I joined this site awhile ago but I am not sure how or why. I am just grateful I did because as I am sitting in my office about to rip the hair out of my head after reading that they want to make Healthcare insurance required, I remembered this site from my emails and felt sane once again.
I used to go onto some forums on Craigslist and trolls are ever present there. They have no original thought, they add no value and they just prey on people through intimidation and bullying. Earl B is right about trolls being attention whores. Just don't feed them and they tend to move onto the next site.
Thanks for all your posts. It's good feeling to know we have a voice again. -

It's cute to me. I don't go to the Liberals web sites and groups posting rude or nasty comments.
They typically need to find a way to feel good about themselves. Just like little kids in school, they need to knock someone down to feel good.
My opinion, ALWAYS consider the source.
What type of loser spends their times signing up for sites just to swear at someone.
