Trolls - Who are they?
As most of you know I started TCUnation on January 20, 2009 and now we have over 14,000 members. 99% of you are great members and have great contributions to the site or hopefully find TCUnation informative or a place to meet people with similar ideas.
Obviously with so many members there will be a few bad apples trying to disrupt the site. Typically this is labeled a "troll" and assumed to be a "non-conservative" trying to stir up trouble. Note I said trouble as healthy debate is encouraged.
So what do you do about these so-called trolls?
Well I can ban them right? Sure but they will just return with another fake account. In the words of one who emailed me; "F*** You A**h***! Ban me, I'll just sign up again".
What about the moderators? Well they have a tough job and have their hands full. Sure they can engage in warnings and delete posts but that also is pretty futile.
So far I've been threatened by trolls, cussed out, and supposedly turned in to the FBI. I doubt the latter as most of them are so low on the totem poll I doubt anyone would listen.
So think about what a "troll" really is:
1. Someone too scared or insecure to post any information about themselves.
2. They sit in front of their computer all day waiting to prey on someone.
3. They cannot think for themselves, just use talking points rather than intelligent debate.
4. Probably too uninformed to contribute to sites that "think like them"
5. Someone seeking attention
6. No original or individual thought. Rather than think all they can do is attack others.
In the words of Mark Levin they are a "drone".
Trolls are not just on TCUnation they are everywhere. It's the way the left works. Just look at the town hall meetings where they have to bus "trolls" in with pre-made signs to try to drown out the American people.
I will say that a "troll" does not mean a liberal or person with left views. They are certainly welcome to engage appropriatley on TCUnation.
So as we move forward I will work to keep TCUnation enjoyable for you Great American Patriots. Trolls will come and go. Some may get banned and most all will be ignored.
I hope you will work with moderators, as their job is tough, and when you come across a "troll" just chalk it up to another insecure drone seeking attention.

You are right Earl, I get caught up in the minutiae and don't see the big picture at times.
I wish to thank the Moderators for taking on a difficult job and attempting to ride herd on a huge cross section of personalities and ideologies. I know you do the best you can, so thank you again. -

Some have been hoping for that, Ryan, that they would just get Saved. I've said from the beginning "Those guys just need to get Saved." :-) Oh wait, that is a Trinitarian idea, isn't it? -

It was meant as a humorous comment ... it was in NO WAY meant as baiting or to spark controversy. To be honest, it was intended to lighten the tone and create a chuckle among both sides of this issue.
As to "what you have leaned" I have no insight into that ... but I am sure I could speculate :) ... again offered with a humorous tone and intention. -

Earl, I believe the whole liberal movement seeks that special attention you were speaking of. We just consider the source and keep fighting for the freedom of the American People. Chairman Obama and Thugs have their people everywhere. But, that's ok. We the People will not be stopped. Just like George W. Bush and the troops kept this country safe. it's also up to us to fight to keep it free as well.

I wonder do we realize how much attention we have given these trolls. they are having a field day becuase it is all about them. We need to get back on trak and ignore them. Back to business we have alot of work to do. Lets stand as one and ignore anything that tries to get in our way.

I feel sorry for the trolls because either they are ignorant or really do drink the cool aide. Let them troll, they cannot stop us by what they say & the more they physically attack the more determined we are to put a stop to this ungodly leadership and the way our country is going. This is my America, I am a Christian, I will not back down nor will I be silent about acts that are an abomination to the God of Abraham, Issac & Jacob. I will not sit quietly by while precious innocent unborn babies are murdered. How can God continue to bless if we don't stand up for what we know to be right. THE One is trying to destroy the very people who protect us. Upholding & being best friends with the very people who live to destroy everything we love & believe in. I never doubted he was a Muslim but it was so funny how the liberal news kept denying it during the campaign & the length he & they would go with regards to his religion. When Sarah Palin was introduced I was impressed but even though it gave chills, I knew in my heart God would put The One in the White House. There are those of us who know God & never doubt he is in control but there are those who serve idols and other gods like those in entrenched in Washington. I've never seen anything like the Conservative Movement in all my 60 years, what's going on in Washington is waking up Gods people to pray & to work. You can count on me & if I'm the first to be beheaded so be it, I will not stop, I will stand, I will not be silent.

I'm with you Carolyn -- and, if some people have their way, my head will be first on the chopping blocks! Until then, my voice will not be silenced. I know the days are dark ahead of us, but now is the time for all good Patriots to make a stand and force Washington to listen to us. The last time I checked our Constitution, we don't work for them -- they work for us. If they don't listen to us, then it's time for them to pack their bags and join us on the unemployment lines (at the back of the line, of course).

Trolls hide under bridges and so forth and do evil things to frighten others (or so they think). Trolls are just ugly little people.
