We need to live by the 5 principles of the Preamble of the Constitution

If we read the preamble of the Constitution we can see what the government should do for the people. Today we have the government into all things they by the Constitution are not allowed to do. Where in the constitution does it say "Health care" is a right? Where does it say the government has the power to regulate industry in the country?

According to the Preamble government has the obligation to Establish Justice, Provide for the common defense,Insure Domestic Tranquility, Provide for the General Welfare of the people , Let you have Liberty and to be able to pass it on to our Posterity.

Anything that blocks any of those 5 principles is unconstitutional.

Gun Control is unconstitutional, it was passed as a way to disarm the law abiding people of the country and make it easier for a Dictatorship top be established and to allow criminals to have their way.

They, the liberals claim that being religious is not to be a political thing, that ther is a "wall of separtation between Church and State. But liberalism is a political idea and a religion to the left. So to them there is no wall, but if you are not a leftist liberal they want to take away your right to worship or express your political views.

While the government is obligated to insure the "General Welfare" of all of its CITIZENS, they want to have all of us on General Welfare and at their mercy. Think about it, if the government controls all of the money, you are on welfare, a slave, a serf and nothing more.

Now should we make the Congress live up to their obligation as stated in the Preamble or not?

Well said. The answer from me to all of the above is "YES!".
I like what you are saying but I have to add my two cents on the health care angle. I do believe everyone is entitled to health care. If people cannot afford health care, they use emergency rooms to act as their primary doctor, they do not pay the bill and we end up paying for it anyway via county/state taxes. The health care in this country is absurd. I have been in the health care industry a long time. It has become over the top expensive and I have personally seen insurance companies refuse to pay for procedures or medications that several doctors suggest the patient have. I do not like the idea that someone in an office somewhere can dictate what my own doctor says I need. I don't have a solution but free market has not been working to well, and I know something needs to be done
The biggest problem we have with Health Care is frivolous law suits! Before the rash of them, heath care costs were minimal. We didn't have Juan and his 50 cousins refusing to speak English, or paying their bills. The unions failing to be reasonable have also contributed to the problem as well.

Now there is no entitlement to health care, read the Constitution. Now if you think people have that entitlement, then you pay their bills. It does not fall to me to support slugs who refuse to find a job or to be responsible for their actions.

I agree with the lawsuits definately. I also agree with the illegal issue. If you are illegal, you should be shipped back to your country of origin and apply to become a citizen the correct way. That said, what does General welfare of the people mean? The US is a very different place than when it was written and sad to say, you are paying their bills. When county hospitals cannot collect money, taxes in the county rise and the citizen has to foot the bill. I work with alot of senior citizens and it makes me angry when they tell me that they are not taking their blood pressure pill because they cannot afford the copay. These are people that have worked all their life and now are stuck with having to make these kind of decisions.
General Welfare is the common good of the people. It has nothing to do with health care, welfare or any so called "entitlement program".

Sharona people have been lied to over the years that they are "entitled" to things which by the Constitution they are absolutely not entitled to. Every time the government gives you anything as an "Entitlement" you are losing your freedoms one bit at a time and are beng made dependent on the government for everything. People must be made aware of that before they wake up in chains and slaves.

Now I am disbaled, bad lungs from smoking and industrial work over the years, I understand decision making. Some times I have to put off getting a medication, because the wife and I have so much money and have to get food or pay a bill. I can understand some programs like Medicaid, or SSI and SSI Disability.

Now SSI for illegal criminal aliens, hell no! Straight up hell NO!
