Permalink Reply by Raven on January 19, 2009 at 10:25pm I'm a pilgrim in an unholy land, a conservative in MN (yes the donkey-brained wasteland who may be electing Al Franken(stein)) Yes we do have a Republican Gov. but he is a RINO, "Gov. Green" as we true conservatives here call him. I am appalled at the direction our country is moving and its time to be the "silent majority" no more!

Permalink Reply by Cecelia Peterson on January 19, 2009 at 10:28pm That is because of the bleepety-bleep straight-party voting. All these people come out of nowhere to vote for you-know-who, and they just wiped away EVERYBODY with their straight-party voting, not even aware of what they were doing. Makes me mad.....Harris County (Houston is actually only 1 of 34 cities in Harris County but yes the LARGEST)just ousted Republican judges and our beloved (to me anyway) Sherriff Tommy Thomas ...just about the only Republican that came out unscathed was County Judge Ed Emmott. Sorry for the ranting.
Hi to all. ....and Happy New Year...God bless you and yours, Cheryl
Permalink Reply by Raven on January 19, 2009 at 10:29pm Hi everybody! I'm Katie, I'm 17 (will be 18 next week!!), and I'm from Missouri...if I lived in the rural part of the state I might like it better, but sadly, I live directly north of the city of St. Louis, famous for being one of the top 5 most dangerous cities and consistently #1 in rates for two different STD's...gotta love STL. I'm literally 2 miles away from being in Todd Akin's district instead of Lacy Clay's...it almost makes me cry.
I'll actually be in DC this weekend, I won't get there in time for the inauguration (oh darn...) but I'm going to the Pro-Life March....I love it, two days after Obama becomes President (and probably signs FOCA) he is going to have hundreds of thousands of pro-life people right in his face...
Anyway, happy to be here =]

Permalink Reply by Amanda on January 19, 2009 at 10:57pm Hi All,
I am a true Conservative living in Chicago. Needless to say, the hoopla that surrounds me is enough to give me an ulcer :-) I voted for McCain/Palin, however, my beliefs are with Mitt! (who i voted for in our primaries) My passion is listening to Mr. Mark Levine every night. God Bless our troops!
