A few conservatives? :)
We need to solidify what our platform is. We need to cut out and get rid of all the dead weight and issues that have dragged us down. We need to take back the things that define us, and quit letting the liberals and media define what it is to be a Republican. And as stated earlier...we need more conservatives.
I do think momentum is building. You see much more conservative activity than the other side. MSM blankets most everything with the left but underneath (talk radio,Internet) the movement is beginning.
www.icaucus.ning.com is running some very good candidates for both state office, and U.S. Congress. Many are Conservative military veterans, or still in the Reserves.
Conservatives, much like Christians, are both failing in the area of standing their ground. The trend over the last 10-15 years has been to conform to the other side. Allowing the other team to make the rules, if you will. It seems we are afraid of hurting people's feelings. Instead of taking America back, we are bending over and allowing the other side to poke it in us just so we can get all along. We're all turning into Democrats....or worse, France.....

JMHO.
As others have stated we need to hold on to our values and stop trying "make nicey" with Libs. Republicans also need to reach out to the "average" conservative and set up functions that are affordable for all. They must also reach out to African Americans NOT by talking bad about BO but by reinforcing conservative values. Trust me most blacks agree with many of those values and just need to be nudged and re-educated. Will it be easy? No...will it take some time? Yes....so let's get started
Sometimes I have to question whether Republican politicians in DC are comfortable with complacency or being the ones that like being in the minority. I remember with Gingrich's leadership how excited I was in '94 and then after a few years, things just settled down and we became Democrat-lite.

Which brings me to a stong agreement with Andy. We all know what bi-partisanship is with the Democrats (agree with us or we'll sic the media on you, etc). It's time that we buckle down, get our principles and platform in check and work TIRELESSLY each day here on out what our agenda is, what we stand for, and MAKE IT HAPPEN. We don't get the privilege of easy media access and mass outlet when our voices are needed to be heard, especially now with the BO-lovefest going on, so it's only that much more difficult. It amazes me to this day how many co-workers said they were voting for Obama and couldn't tell me anything about the guy....
Grow a backbone!!! Get back to the conservative ideals that this party was founded on!!!
The GOP needs to stop being the party that just disagrees with the Democrats. We also need to appeal to third party voters. We need to go back to our less gov't, pro-business roots.
One thing that is critical for the conservative movement is for the Fairness Doctrine to be defeated and stay defeated. We must make sure that we've bombarded our Senators and Congressmen with faxes, emails and phone calls letting them know that this obvious trampling of our first amendment rights is unacceptable. If we lose our voice over the airwaves of this nation, it will be very hard for us to get the conservative message out. Let's make sure the communication lines remain free of obstruction. Once that's assured, we can focus on getting conservatism back into the Republican party as it really should be. The ideologies of Ronald Reagan, Barry Goldwater and other true conservatives can once again be the mainstays of the party and we can save our country from the liberal assault that's trying to bring it down. God bless America!
Stop with the liberal ideas of segmenting people (ie rich, poor, black, white, middle class, hispanics, asians etc). We do not need that, what we need is to not run after segments of people. but rather allow conservative ideas to speak to people. the reason alot of people from such diverse backgrounds are conservatives in the first place is becuase conservatism makes sense and it works. So i dont know why now alot of the GOP leaders wanna follow the liberal lead of (segmenting people). give thinking americans enough respect that when they see the arguments for true conservatism they will come on board. so my suggestion is to stop with the segmentation.
need to go back to the old ways when they were for small government and free trade and stop saying that the hope pebo(pres elect barrack obama) does a good job take advantage of there screw ups get out the public
