I believe that the GOP is intentionally giving up America to the Communists. It's evident in California. I live here too. The GOP does nothing to glean support here. They have given this state to the Communists, just like they gave the White House to the Commies in '08. It's intentional, brother. I'm convinced of that now.

So by your logic, Romney would best serve us as a Conservative leader sitting in Barney F*** seat. Since the money issues are in the congressional branch of the governmnet, he needs to be there to give the needed financial insight. I am not against him, but feel he would better serve "We The People" in that capacity.

Sarah Palin is going to be your most conservative President. She has a huge following. Mitt Rominy and Huckabee are again your Washington elite, we get nowhere with them. Do you want someone to make a difference or back to politics as usual? I don't know if she will run, most of you don't know what happened to her in the last election aside from the slander. But someone sent a huge message to her when they burnt down her church.
Here's the problem: THE GOP. I understand in NY 3 people are running fora seat (Gov?) a democrat, a Republican and a conservative Independant. The GOP is backing the Republican who is a bigger Rino than Snowe. So if the Repub wins, there's your "bi-partisan" votes for bills. This is not about repubs and dems anymore, this is about who is going to uphold the Constitution of our great land. That includes Repoubs, Dems and Independants. Right now we are in a free fall and hanging on to America and it's values by our fingernails. If we don't flip the house to our values, America is going to be lost forever.
Sarah Palin has these values and I'm sure we can find someone else with those same values in case she doesn't run. Bt for me, NO MORE Washington elite.

You keep accusing Mitt Romney of being a member of the Washington elite...and insinuated that he would not uphold the Constitution, a ridiculous notion that I care not to address...but this idea he is part of the establishment is intellectually dishonest.

What is your definition of Washington elite? Let's look at Gov. Romney's resume:

1. Was OUTSIDE government and in the private sector for all of his career until he became governor of a state---tell me, how is this different from Sarah? Oh wait, she has spent MOST of her career inside government.

2. Romney has a strong record of resolving financial messes with corporations and showed amazing leadership during the SLC Olympics...I'm not sure to what scale Sarah has compared in this regard...

3. He's never been a senator, or a congressman....or ever held any kind of office in Washington...

Seems, through rational analysis, Gov. Palin could also be a member of the Washington elite--according to your broad definition. To be fair, I could make the case with Huckabee as well, but he's too anti-Romney to be taken seriously.

All in all, your accusation that Romney is in the Washington elite is baseless, and probably has more to do with his haircut and stunning profile, than it has to do with facts :) Just admit that your dislike for Romney has to do with his ability to obliterate your favorite candidate. I personally like Palin--but don't believe her to be prepared quite yet to run for president---she's got a lot of time, though.

blandinbasement I agree about Romney. Was he the reason his state got healthcare? I need to google that because I have heard several explanations.

I do disagree about your Palin remarks. I think she was better prepared than bo was, even tho she was never a senator or congressman (to be pc which I hate, congresswoman).

I don't think Palin will run anytime soon. I believe she resigned her office to get more under her belt so those kind of remarks that were made about her ability, yet did not touch the do nothing, know nothing, ever "present" bo. I also don't think she will run because she is one smart gal. Running would make the election end up like Ross Perot's running did. I also think she is working on how to connect conservatives. Just my opinion. She does speak my language tho. We have different accents! LOL

And to Don and Jinx.....would Romney's ego allow himself to be VP to Palin? I think that is another factor that Palin has thought of. I mean Sarah and I are not BFF'S and we have never talked, so I don't know what is going on in her head. I just think she has thought this out and might just stay out of the presidential arena until she is comfortable in knowing that all conservatives are united. Just my opinion.

No disrespect...................wait, strike that...................at least the crooked scurge of that state is burried, to bad it wasn't in cement at the big dig. How can people be so stupid as to uligize these people who have no respect for anyone but there own ego. I just hope that that state can recover now but they have already stepped hard back to the left. :o((

Hold on a second here, let's not let them defeat us through this division. There is way more that we need to do in the near future besides argue which strong conservative will be the best President. Many of these names being kicked around would better serve us in 2010 taking strong positions in Congress. We need some of these people there before we can worry about the president. In 1994 the message was sent to Clinton with the mid term election of so many conservatives, that he had to go along with the welfare reform, so if we can pull the party back onto the conservative platform next year and take back Congress, we can take away the power that BHO has to push his agenda.

How the heck can you say she is not ready.........................the big problem is there are to damn many people that are ready, like Clinton, Bush, Obama and look what we got POOOOOOP we need back to basics real people to fumble through it all and be honest in there finding and share the problems. Not another damn dictator like the last 3 that have decimated this country with there know it all can do but can't do theories. Why do people think government is rocket science??????????????????? Its not. Wrong is wrong and right is right.......................the people that are in there now don't care about what is wrong and right. All they do is compromise and go forward with lies and bills that should never even be brought before the congress. I want business owners, mechanics, doctors, McDonalds managers, contractors, plumbers and real people who have to learn how to do what the people want. Not another bunch of lawyers (LIARS) or political science and communication experts........................they are taught that they are smarter than the rest of us. (THEY AREN'T) we need people to run under the republican flag that are real people ENOUGH WITH THESE PROFESSIONAL POLITITITIONS THEY SUCK

I would support a Palin/Romney ticket. Sarah as president, Romney VP. No other Republican candidates will get my vote. That's how I feel today: betrayed by the GOP leadership.

Hey Don, would you please look into another fine conservative who has proven himself as a leader who keeps his word. He campaigned on only serving 4 terms and would not run for the fifth even though they really wanted him to. Very proven as a businessman, and also led his college football team to a national championship. JC Watts is a good example of what we need if he can be convinced to run. I am also willing to bet the reason you feel disenfranchised with the party leadership is because they fell off of the conservative platform that made the party great during the time of Reagan. Before we can all put faith into them, they need to find their way back onto the platform, or the party might as well merge with the liberals, and make way for the Conservative Party.
