Would you please expand on the strength of current congressmen? The only man I would trust beyond a doubt is a sheriff in Arizona. That has nothing to do with congress but that’s my feelings about it all. We need to elect people that earn and learn. Not the same group that has been selling us down the toilet for the last 50 years.......................open your eyes people.................we need a remake with the Republican ticket but not all the same type of republicans. And once it’s in control we need to abolish the 2 party groups and bring back the republic of America..................get the damn money out of it.

I would like to see Sarah Palin and Ron Paul on the ticket. They are both fiscal conservatives and favor gun rights and parents rights and smaller federal governmant.

I think that we should vote Sarah Palin for President and Glenn Beck for Vice President. These two would make a great -team for all conservatives. At least with these two, I feel that we would get the truth. And it would really blow the Democrats minds. Some will say, "They don't have enough experience", in politics. And I would say back, that they have heart and soul for the Greatest Nation on Earth. A true love for "God" and "Country".

My thinking for an ideal ticket would be Senator Dr. Tom Coburn for president, Sarah Palin as his running mate, and Alan Keyes for Secretary of State.
While I firmly believe Sarah Palin would be perfect, there are too many that feel she hasn't the wherewithall to take on the presidency yet, and would not vote for her. Even many in the Republican party are against her. Give her four years as VP, and WATCH OUT! Once proven to all, it would be a landslide in 2016!

I'd like to see Judge Andrew Napolitano run. He is not only conservative, but a strong and staunch Constitutionalist.

Most of the Repbulican party is just as corrupt as the Dems. Time to band together and make real changes and get rid of this two party system that has done nothing but help to tear this country apart.

Wake up people! Mitt Romney is NOT the answer. He's a part of the problem! His track record shows that he is far from a true conservative and is no respecter of the Constitution.

Palin and Bachman are true exceptions. I would back either one.

Dave - why not just let this argument go and let people express their own views and opinions on Romney without trying to draw this out?! We understand you are a big Romney fan, and we do have a Mitt Romney group where this kind of arguing would be a little more appropriate. Thank you, Sir -- and I hope to see you more active on the Mitt Romney group!

Let me rephrase my last reply so no one misunderstands me this time.

Dave - you are freely entitled to your own views and opinions in favor of Mitt Romney, but other folks are also freely entitled to their own views and opinions against Mitt Romney. Folks don't have to explain to you why they don't like Romney any more than you have to explain why you do. But, when the conversation gets to the point that one side feels it is their "mission" to straighten out the other side, and tries to corner them in the process, then that conversation has turned sour and is no longer civil or appropriate behavior.

When the Site Moderators see confrontations brewing, we will do what it takes to ask folks to either calm down, settle it privately, or take it to another forum better suited to more open debate on that topic of conversation. This is not the proper forum for in-depth discussions and heated arguments about why people do and do not like certain candidates - we have other forums and groups set up for that here on TCU.

This is why I steered Dave to the Mitt Romney group where his ongoing inquiry about why people don't like Romney can be carried out in greater detail. Any questions on this from anyone? If so, please contact me privately if you wish to discuss it. Thank you, Folks!

I dont believe that sarah palin is going to attempt to run again, but i believe Huckabee would be the choice for a true, hard core, AWESOME conservative president.

In my opinion Sarah Palin is the only candidate for conservative American patriots because she stands for "We the People..." and our most cherished documents: Our Declaration of Independence, our Constitution and our Bill of Rights! Plus she will NOT be controlled by the Republican Party 'bosses'!

The rest of the choices presently are "PARTY HACKS" who do not give a rat's @$$ about anything but POWER!

I absolutely agree, Sarah is the one. Ronald Reagan with female parts!

There are a few relevant news stories I would like to share.

There is a book coming out with the title Going Rogue, this is not Sarah Palin's book but yet another attempt to make money off of her fame. It can be found at http://orbooks.com/ THAT IS FOR REFERENCE ONLY, DON'T BUY IT!.

Dave Letterman may not be on the air much longer. National Enquirer (before you laugh remember that they broke the John Edwards affair) is reporting they have video from an audience surveillance tape that has Dave and a very young staffer doing things they shouldn't be:

While everyone said it was dumb for her to resign as governor I think it was pretty smart. Why stay in a position where unscrupulous liberals could keep filing one frivolous lawsuit after another to the point that she A) couldn't do her job and B) defending herself was bankrupting her (the law that allowed this to happen also disallows the state to pay her lawyer fees). She is much freer to voice her opinions, I hope everyone is following her on Facebook.

Her announcement to do an interview with the Oprah is also a sign of her wisdom. Do you really think Oprah is going to try "gotcha" journalism? I'm sure that neither lady will switch political sides from the encounter but I'm sure that the audience will come away with a more positive opinion of her. They will pull in viewers that are curious and willing to give her a fair shake as well as those who are eagerly awaiting to see the stereotyped Palin they have created in their minds.

Oprah's show will not edit to make her look bad. I remember seeing a special with Linda Elerbee where she discussed media bias, this must have been over 20 years ago, on a kids show. They followed a little girl through a school day, eating breakfast, walking to the bus stop, and throughout the day to bedtime. They edited two ways, the first made the girl look like a whiny brat and the other as an angel. That is what happened to Sarah Palin and her interviews with the media.
