I am wondering when the euthanasia folks are going to start touting this one? I mean, it sure seemed to me as if the most caring, most civil, most intelligent president evah just said that healthcare could be cheaper if we don’t give old folks and the infirm the full measure of care they now get. It appeared that Obama said we should just let them die or suffer because they aren’t worth the effort. Imagine if Bush had said something like this? The left wouldn’t have hesitated to call him any manner of names.
Obama said during the ABC Special on Wednesday night that a way to save healthcare costs is to abandon the sort of care that “evidence shows is not necessarily going to improve” the patient’s health. He went on to say that he had personal familiarity with such a situation when his grandmother broke her hip after she was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Obama offered a question on the efficacy of further care for his grandmother saying, “and the question was, does she get hip replacement surgery, even though she was fragile enough they were not sure how long she would last?”
But who is it that will present the “evidence” that will “show” that further care is futile? Are we to believe that Obama expects individual doctors will make that decision in his bold new government controlled healthcare future? If he is trying to make that claim it is a flat out untruth and he knows it.
Does your homebuilder negotiate with your city hall over whether you get a building permit, or does the permit get levied no matter what? Does a cop decide if you really broke the law, or does he simply arrest you and let the courts hash it out? Does your tax preparer negotiate with the IRS or is he supposed to just calculate your tax bill on their terms and have you pay the required amount?
Government does not work by negotiation. Government does not work from the bottom up. It works from the top down. This singular fact means that no doctor will be deciding if you are too old or infirm to get medical care. It will be a medically untrained bureaucrat that sets a national rule that everyone will have to obey. There won’t be any room for your grandma to have a different outcome than anyone else’s.
Will our friends on the left now disown Obama the “murderer”?
So, what will it be then? Who will decide when medical care is just too expensive to bother with? Who will be left to perish because they just aren’t worth the lifesaving effort? Well, for sure it won’t be any members of Congress or anyone that works for the federal government because they won’t be expected to suffer under the nationally socialized plan. It also won’t be Obama’s buddies in the unions who are about to be similarly exempted from the national plan, at least if Senator Max Baucus has his way.
Ah, but we are told that Obama’s ideas on healthcare are “evolving,” dontcha know? During the recent campaign for president (that was only 7 months ago, if you’ll recall) Obama insisted that he would never tax your healthcare benefits from work. He even ridiculed McCain for proposing such a plan. Lately, however, he’s “evolved” toward saying that such a new tax is on the table. What about his stance against fining people and businesses that don’t join his UberPlan? He was against that sort of coerciveness before. Now he’s “evolved.”
Originally, he said it was “healthcare for all,” but as of Wednesday night, it seems he’s “evolved” to say that only those worth the bother should get healthcare. The rest should be left to died and/or suffer. If he does any more “evolving” we’ll all be finding just who is “worth” what as far as he and his Democrats are concerned. Somehow I’d guess that many of you reading this today won’t quite be worth as much as certain others!
Let’s hope none of us are ever in a position to find out if Obamacare deems our grandmothers worth saving.
And what ever happened to the left’s mantra that healthcare is a “right” and that money should never enter into a life or death decision? Now The One is saying it’s just too darn expensive to save the old and infirm? Will our friends on the left now disown Obama the “murderer”?

Yes, I think he wants this Health Care Package pushed so he can rid our Nation of all the ,Old Folks". Beware if your pushing 60 and have health problems......you will need to be vanished from our planet and what better way that to you, , NO you cant have that surgery, or medication.
He's like that DR. K, but without giving the drugs directly. -

He said "give them pain meds" ....He is the devil come to earth! At this point whoever voted for him surely must be choking themselves and what he will do to their grandparents or if you are close to 60..to yourself! I was laid off due to "his" economy May1st...I am 58 and was the top performer in my group. I may not ever be a Aerospace/Engineering Recruiter again...... and put people to work. He is making sure of that. I do not want the government deciding if I need healthcare...I love my doctor and LEAVE MY HEALTHCARE PROGRAM ALONE!!!! Call the "Blue Dog" democrats...they will be our only salvation from getting this passed.. Shame on the Clintons, Kennedy's and the rest of the politicians for putting Americans in this spot!!!!!

Impeach Obama.
Since WWII he's the third most disliked at this point of his time in office.
His idealogical father,Jimmy Carter,had a 69% approval rating at this same time of his Presidency,Obama now has a 49% approval rating. -

I only hope that when I get to that point in my life, that I won't be considered one of those "unnecessary elderly individuals" and thrown away if Obama's plan is approved. I have paid into the healthcare system since I went to work at the age of 18 and am totally disgusted with the way this country is going to "hell in a handbasket".....
Wake up America!!! We need to get on our knees and ask God to help us!!! -

Obama care supports murder on both ends of the spectrum. Kill the unborn upfront and kill the elderly at the end. But he is being fair, he also wants all those who have debilitating diseases such as Parkinson's, Alzhiemer's, Muscular Dystrophy, Cerebal Palsy, ect. to have less or more limited care because there is no medication or treatment that can make them WELL, regardless of age. Pay close attention, he harps on those medical practices that can make people WELL. Those with the misfortune to have diseases that are not curable, can not be made WELL, but there are many treatments that can improve their quality of life, offer hopeful but not necessarily guaranteed, outcomes, and even extend thier lifespans with the hope of a cure or better treatment in the future. He is just using his gift of BS rhetoric to do what Hitler planned to do to the world, eliminate all that didn't meet his criteria.

I believe the "advanced care planning" is discussed on pages 424 to 430. Page 428 talks about the every 5 year counseling sessions, unless you become very ill or disabled, the counseling will be more often than 5 years. Even though reading this bill is like reading Greek to me, I think I get the gist of it.

I am one of those people who was has been determined to have terminally ill cancer and I wasn't expected to live 6 months but have survived 5 years and I am feeling better all the time. Why heck, if it keeps going the way it is I may become a worthwhile citizen and even return to some form of work. I wouldn't be here today if it hadn't been for the great surgeon and my oncologist and others that have helped me with expensive tests, and expensive chemo treatments. For awhile it was touch and go. They removed my breast and then gave me chemo treatments. One month after my mascectomy I had a gall bladder attack and they removed that. A few years later they did a cat scan due to severe headaches right after my younger sister died and found I had 5 lesions on my brain. They gave me 10 full brain radiation treatments and was told I may have only 6 months to live again and that was way over a year ago. I got another cat scan 2 months ago and they told me that they weren't even concerned about the lesions on the brain anymore as they were all dead and had turned to scar tissue and were dieing there. They determined that my cancer had already metatisized to the bone and so I didn't have any lymph nodes removed. Recently I had chemo treatments weekly for 9 months straight and the only place they still find cancer is in my spine. Now I am off chemo treatments but do go to my oncologist once monthly to have blood work and vitamin B12 shot and zometa which is a bone builder. I am not quite well yet as I have trouble sometimes getting up and down and back pains but they have my cancer relatively stable and contained to one area. That one area is getting better now too in my estimation. Alot of people including myself have prayed for me. I am getting better. I lost 2 of my younger sisters last year. One died in her sleep from a heart disease she didn't know she had. She was looking forward to retiring from Continental Airlines and had 3 years to go. My other younger sister died 6 months before her. She was a supervisor at Chase Bank in Ohio and was very careful with her health. She went to the same doctor for everything. She died from a drug we think called Avalox because she was being treated for a sinus infection. We didn't have an autopsy but the doctor said it might have been the medication she was on. Checking into this drug we found many people who died from it and the doctors don't test the medications or investigate them but have a list and if something says it is good for some condition often try it. By the time she got to the hospital she was in a coma. We don't know if she took any other medication but know she had just finished one whole script of Avalox and had gone to her doctor that day and gotten more. Although she was better, the doctor wanted to knock out the rest of it and ordered her a new script that day. I stayed with her day and night at the hospital and slept in the floor in ICU hoping she would wake up but she didn't. Three days later she died. She never saw her 50th birthday and her only son, her mother, my two daughters, my two granddaughters and me among others still miss her very much. I should have died before her as she was healthy and took care of herself and was working long hours everyday and I am 8 years older than she was. I wished the doctors had the technology to save her but I guess not. God has spared me instead of my two younger sisters that were healthy and worthwhile citizens who were working as I use to be before I got this. Hell yes, I still want to take my treatments as the treatments are getting better all the time for what I have. But, if my cancer were to start to grow again I fear I won't be treated anymore according to Obama's plan and I may only have 6 months instead of another 5 years to be with my nephew, my daughters, my little granddaughters and many others I care about very much. My oncologist said even if it starts growing again, there are some cousins in pill form that could possibly work for me but are expensive. So, does that mean that Obama's plan won't give me a chance to see if this fairly new mecicine works for me to see if it may possibly help other's too? I can still enjoy my children and doing things with them and I feel blessed everytime I get too. I have been blessed that treatments have helped me live this long and that I seem to be getting better all the time. But what if Obama's plan gets passed and I can no longer get treatments if I need them again?
I am worried that politicians aren't willing to take the same insurance they are willing to give us. Why?I am worried that if one day you REALLY need that universal insurance for your treatment that you may not get it because it is too expensive. I am worried that they can already cure alot of cancers but use not the best drugs because they might extend your life and you will be a drain on the economy for people who don't need it until later. It seems like an easier kill just to gas all those who are inferior to congress who sit on their pedestals and think we aren't worth trying to save. Still, I would be willing to do it if congress and our President who I saw through the first time I heard him speak and adamantly didn't want in that position if they would take the same insurance we get. But no, none of them want it. Why?
It is because he is a Hitler. He is destroying us by destoying small businesses and my suggestion is to just give insurance to people when and if they need it as they need it. They don't care though about making us healthy or keeping us healthy. Why cover people when and if they don't really need it for just a cold ? Why instead of inferior health care for everyone and there may be a time when you will need the help, don't they spend their billions to look for fraud in the system and also to develop new innovating drugs we can actually have when and if we need !!!!
My husband has alot of problems. He is a Viet Nam veteran who became bi-polar and has much trouble with his eyes mainly seeing double. Now, he has developed what they think might be Parkinson's disease. He wonders why noone was really informed enough not to elect Obama in the first place. He also thinks he is a Hitler who wants just a society that can work like slaves to support the government plans that are useless to us if we sometime get sick or can't work for awhile or forever? Now he has developed tremors and they think he may have Parkinson's disease and the VA has ordered a cat scan and a neurologist for him. He didn't come out of service which a bunch of medals but he fought for his country and it's freedom to choose. I don't want government telling U.S. citizens what we can and can't do and let us make our own decisions about what we need when it comes to our heath and if our kids can pray in school and say the Pledge of Allegiance and say in God we Trust. If more people would put their trust in God instead of Obama and trust in themselves to make life saving techniques or not, how better off we would be. If it weren't for my faith in God listening to my prayers and Him working through my doctors then I may not be sitting here today writing in protest of how Obama is trying to take everything over! He does think he if the Messaih but I believe he may really be the Anti-Christ who is the new Hitler and wanting only the power over us to say who is worthy to live and who isn't. Wake up America. This is the wrath of our God for letting atheists take God out of country and lives with politics. Government is suppose to serve US but it is very quickly becoming a place I don't recognize anymore and a place where we serve THEM and if we can't we might as well be gased in their eyes. We are a drain on their parties and also their yearly raises that congress always votes for themselves. And they won't be polite enough to die when they get sick either because they have the best of health care. They will get stronger while we will get weaker to do anything about anything. That is socialism and that is not what made us the world leader for so many years. It was because we were mostly a Christian country who cared about each other and had God in our lives to trust instead of trusting a government to be the holy power. Personally I believe that only faith in God and lots of prayer will save us. May God strike our congress and President's policies down. Amen and God bless all Americans.
And one more thing. Gobal warming is a universal issue and not just concerning our country. Other countries just want us to pass green house effects as they don't want to participate. Let it go. The world cools and the world warms. It has always been that way. While the North Pole warms the South Pole is getting colder. LOL God created the world and saw it as perfect. None of us will live forever and noone can take things with them. Things and wealth doesn't mean anything. We come in with nothing and leave with nothing. Family, friends, and country do mean something and what little time we have to spend with them here. Oh, how we grieve when our loved ones leave us but then that is the way God planned it as he didn't want us to get too attached to worldly things.
And if there was an explosion that began life on earth who is to say God didn't push the button that caused the love for one another to bloom, and create all the beauty of earth in every rock and tree and creek and montain and waterfall? He also created man in his image and gave us the ability to choose between right and wrong and good and evil and to make those decisions ourselves. But the ones we allow to control us just want the best for themselves and have lost their way because God also created people who are honest and loving and people who are greedy and dishonest. We need to stand up for our country and God and our faith no matter what it be and stop hating those who are different or contrary to our beliefs as we are all children of God and we need to love one another instead of letting things go so array with many bad apples in the basket. -

I am 73 and infirm. I am still able to be quite independent. Without the care provided for me by my present health plan, I would soon die. I cannot endorse Zero's health plan because of what this would mean to my future well being. People with untreated Diabetes 2 eventually starve to death because of their inability to process food without the proper medications. My grandmother met that end before the proper medications were developed. Now that those proper medications do exist, it would be nothing less than murder to withhold them from older diabetics simply because they are old. My doctor is very optimistic about my continued ability to live with this disease for many years to come. I hope and pray that my fellow citizens will not allow this to happen to me and all the others who are holding their own with the proper care and meds.

"ON PAGE 425 OF OBAMA’S HEALTH CARE BILL, the Federal Government will require EVERYONE who is on Social Security to undergo a counseling session every 5 years with the objective being that they will explain to them just how to end their own life earlier. Yes...They are going to push SUICIDE to cut medicare spending!"
