Greetings fellow conservatives from the Palin camp from afar. As everyone knows, this pool has been highly manipulated and I am one who has taken part. I would like to point out that we of the Palin camp do not attempt to manipulate polls unless they have already been manipulated. Governor Palin, in general, needs no help in getting good poll results.

This present poll was obviously manipulated before we even arrived. 18% for Sarah Palin is clearly not a representative figure even in the rock bed of Ron Paul territory.

Let me clearly express that we highly respect Ron Paul as a conservative who has strong fundamental conservative values and high Christian principles. I would certainly vote for him were he the only candidate.

However, although Ron Paul has strong moral principles, the Robovoting Ron Paul followers have a different reputation (witness the NPR poll of the "Final Four" last March). They have a known reputation for manipulating polls.

This pool will obviously be non-interpretable has it all boils down to who has more computers at their disposal.

All this aside, our best to Ron Paul, Governor Palin, and all true conservatives!

Granitepaw-

Yes I agree that some people out there used robots or other browsers tricks to manipulate the poll. It's unfortunate because that only puts them in a class with ACORN and such.

As far as TCUnation there was no manipulation of this poll.

The first day I saw what was going on I thought about closing it down but I decided to let it run.

If WE as conservatives cannot play by fair rules among ourselves how are we any better than groups such as ACORN?

Thanks for your post above I just wanted to make clear that TCUnation had NOTHING to do with the final results.

Would you run away from the results as much as you did if Palin would have been the winner?

Yes, if it looked like it was very, very much manipulated.

While it is plain and clear that there were folks in both camps (Palin and Paul) openly trying to manipulate the final results, not just Paul's camp alone, it is also plain and clear that both Palin and Paul dominated this poll over other Conservative names out there!

Neither candidate needs any "help" in getting good poll results - the "robovoting" was a shame to both camps here, but congratulations to both Sarah and Ron for doing so well throughout this poll.

I totally agree with Granitepaw, Jim, and Earl. I can honestly say I did not manipulate this poll, however, I also did note the NPR poll was heavily manipulated by Ron Paul fans, who, if I remember clearly, made mention of using a macro to maipulate that NPR poll that Granitepaw mentioned above. I am certain although TCUnation did not manipulate the poll, there are some TCU members in the Ron Paul camp who did manipulate it, likely the same folks who manipulated the NPR poll. If Ron Paul is the only 'conservative' running for President, he would have my vote. However, my support is for Sarah Palin. I don't know who has more Twitter and Facebook followers, but that could be an indication of which of the two are most popular. If Ron Paul wrote a book right now and released it ASAP, would his book sell better than Palin's is now? I mean, Sarah Palin's book is selling like beer at a college football game (LOL)! So who has more supporters? I think no one should manipulate the polls. But if one side does it, the other is tempted to, knowing the other side is manipulating the numbers. How about making polls that are non-manipulatable? Is this possible?

I don't remember voting in this 'poll' myself but I'm surprised at the consensus that RP fans have hacked it.
The implication is that RP people are cheaters, untrustworthy and RP's candidacy dismissable.
I was under the impression that the PURPOSE of this list was to discuss conservative political plans and I cannot see HOW that can be done without recognition of the premier conservative in Congress today.
If conservatism does not count among it's defining characteristics 'adherence to the constitution', perhaps I have erred in joining this group.

No need to mince words, Jim. We'll let the Left do that. In fact, let me say that this type of leader, like most traitors, has their own department on the tenth level of Hell. It's right next door to the Kennedy Compound.
