If we break up into the usual groups like Conservatives, Independence, etc attempt electing Ron Paul again or Huckabee, etc and any of the others that have lost elections WE WILL FAIL.

We need to coalesce, take advantage of the Republican Organization and take back both houses of congress in 2010.

If through our stubborn stupid adherence to these splinter groups, we give up OUR AMERICA to the likes of the Islamic Chairman Obama and the Marxist (Progressive) controlled Congress.

DIVIDED STUPIDLY AGAIN WE WILL FAIL, ANY ONE THAT DOUBTS THAT HAS FORGOTTEN THE LAST ELECTION. An example is taking place in New Jersey today, through stubborn stupidity with a 3rd Party Looser that state may will go to the Left again.

I sometimes wonder if that's not what some of these "I wont Bend" loosing groups don't want to do, DIVIDE US SO THE LEFT CAN WIN, welcome to the "USSR" of America.

Because he would have everyone believe that he left Islam and is a Christian Apostate, yet his actions supporting Islam and Islam Terrorist States proves the lie. He like his favorite Pastor Wright both wear that facade. Note also that Obama Kao Tao's before the Islamic Saudi King. He has also admited it on TV.

Even you should know that the difference between Marxism, Fascism, etc and Islam is mute. Islam uses a "God Head" other than that they all want to enslave people, "Control of the Masses" to use an old Marxist Term...

Thus we have the 'Islamic Chairman Obama"! ! !

OK...I can see your point here. WHO do you feel would make a strong conservative, honest candidate? I am not so sure we actually HAVE an electable one myself. Obama won for two reasons, one being race and every American's belief (most every) that it was high time for a black American to hold that office. Problem IS (not WAS but IS) that Barack Obama is NOT the man he claimed to be. Has NOT fulfilled his promises of honesty, clarity, visibility...what IS that word I'm looking for here? Transparency? That honesty issue, saying he would be open and transparent, is a huge issue for me, personally. He lied. Now he does what HE wants to do and hang you and I.

DO we have an Independent or Republican possibility? That might attain a solid majority vote?

THAT is the true, difficult question. On this list, I see many who'd be ok, but too many so that it might splinter the conservative vote...I no longer look for party, but for the belief system that person possesses. We must wait a bit and see how these interim elections go...the success of even ONE candidate over the next year or so might point us in an entirely different direction.

Eliza, in Maine...a bitchin' conservative against SO many liberal facades!

Looks like there is a strong intrest in Ron Paul. I think more people should look at him closer. I personally like what I've seen/heard, but I feel as though I've lost hope in our current way of government. I feel all politicians are mere puppets whose strings are being pulled by more powerful groups. Maybe there isn't a consiracy? Maybe there are no Luminatis or groups like them who control world governments? But it sure feels like we have lost and continue to loose our American Liberties. I want all my Constitutional rights as well as the Ammendments! I don't want to be told I can't own this gun or buy that ammo. I don't want someone forcing me to pay taxes for health care or soda/fast food. I fear a civil/revolutionary war is coming for this nation if we don't do something soon.

There indeed does seem to be as usual an interest in Ron Paul, but he is a "Perpetual "Looser" and while I agree with most of what he says, his Isolationism would be fatal to America. We are not longer safe from our Enemies as we were during the revolution - today they can strike undetected in America - remember 9/11? ? ?

ahhhh....another one that just wants a fight...one who wants to stay willfully ignorant of the truth...oh well...we will see i suppose how the 20% looks won't we...rofl...but just so i can show you one lil thing...40% claim to be independents and a good 30-35% of them are conservative...think about that...sweet dreams on that one buddy....

I concur completely here with your final sentence...and that pisses me right off! I believe there ARE enough of us feeling this way that there's hope for a future here...it might be some off-the-street conservative who has the volatile charisma and strength to handle the crap that this very strong president has going for him now...we must, MUST find a way to take this office from Obama, along with disinterring the entire Dem party for a lack of sincere credibility and honesty. OF simply going with the flow because that's easier. Heck, Bill Clinton was a dawg, and his dawggy wife is part of this administration. Obama had all of them in place prior to his election, he knew JUST what he was up to and managed it well. Problem is, he's dishonest, right in our faces. Even his own electorate sees this, thus those polls showing that the interim elections are not going to the Democratic candidates, even though many of those don't matter much. It's a mind game, and the strong man wins.

Elizabeth, don't think that these smaller local races don't matter. They represent the beginning of the unraveling of Obama and his Marxist agenda -- OR, they reinforce the fact that he and his cronies are still having a hold over those that won't get involved to take back this country from their cold, socialist hands.
Every loss for the Democrats is a blow to their overall hold on American politics. The Conservative Recovery has to start somewhere, and it just as well begin now with the election of Governors and other local reps.

Every true grassroots movement, like ours, must start from the bottom up. By first winning our local and state elections (putting strong Conservatives into place), this is how we will win back our government and restore our Constitution. Whether you want to call it a "Conservative revolution" or a "Conservative renaissance," it has already started - now we must keep it growing strong! We can't win the national races if we don't first win our state and local races . . . time to get busy folks! The 2010 elections are nearly here . . . so let's win them so we can turn Obama into a "lame duck" president before we boot him in 2012!!!

TSgt. Clough makes a lot of sense to me. Whatever we Constitutional Conservatives do, and whoever we can come to an agreement on; we should make very sure that during the next very crucial Presidential Election, that there will be a choice in the list of candidates, who won't cause us to "hold our noses" again.
I personally would have to "hold my nose" to pull the Ron Paul lever.
I could enthusiastically pull the lever with Newt Gingrich's name on it.
We all, at this moment, can easily name reasons why Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, and Sarah Palin, and Jeb Bush would have pretty "hard sells" at being the nominee of the Republican Party, or on a "Splinter" ticket.
Let's make very sure that we won't be "throwing away" our valuable Constitutional Conservative votes.
And, remember -- America only has ONE MAJOR POLITICAL PARTY NOW -- which is disguised as two. In reality, it is One Party, with two divisions. A party which sometimes switches its nominees back and forth. An example was General Dwight D. Eisenhower. He never really experssed publically whether or not he was a Dem or GOP.
Political reality was that Bob Taft would be the conservative nominee for GOP, and Adlai would get the Dems nod.
So the power brokers and king makers twisted IKE's arm to seek the GOP nomination.
Wil Americans be manipulated again by the behind the scenes puppeteers? Will YOU???

I would suggest to everyone to consider, in the past we have held elections between Republicans, Democrats, Independence etc all supporting Our Constitutional America.

The elections in 2010 and 2012 will be between "True Americans" and "Marxist (Progressives)" led by the Islamic Chairman Obama and the Marxist (Progressive) controlled Congress all of which are determined to create the "USSR" of America which means Enslavement for our Children and Grandchildren etc, etc.

We "True Americans", all, no matter our normal affiliations, must put aside our normal differences, unite and eliminate/remove these Traitors to our Constitution. Our failure to unit and do so will in the Words of President Roosevelt "Live in Infamy"

Perhaps if we stopped looking at this as a battle between Republicans, Democrats, and Independents and looked at it for what it is (a battle between Conservatives, Liberals, and Progressives), we can win the 2010 and 2012 elections for all of the right reasons - and none of the wrong!

This is now a battle for the heart, soul, and spirit of America - and this is why we must make crucial alliances and coalitions with all conservatives and patriots!!!
