Hi, I'm new to this too and just realized there have been no comments since April. Everyday I try to teach my children conservative values. I start by asking them what they learned in school that day and take it from there. The liberals make it easy to teach conservative values on our own as they blatently teach liberalism in school so it give me much to work with. I'm glad I joined this group and look forward to hearing more comments!!

Cyndi, I've been having that discussion a lot lately. Especially after last weeks Department of Homeland Security memo that pretty much labeled all conservatives as potential terrorists. This whole school year has been a huge Obama love fest, it's strange and often inappropriate.

As conservative moms we have a unique responsibility to our children. Our world is changing faster by the day, and our country moving quickly to a point where the very freedoms that we knew as children, will no longer be available to our children. How profoundly sad. When and where and how do we begin the process of introducing civic and political responsibility to our children. The younger the better ! Our liberal media and socialistic peer pressure mentality, being forced into our children's minds at an ever increasing rate, is rendering our youngsters incapable of independent thought. Discussions need not be lectures beyond their ability to process, but thought provoking statements that cause them to wonder about their future in a free world. A good place to start would be a discussion of community service hours and Obama's new Civic Youth Groups. How if they are forced to comply they can no longer speak freely about their beliefs. Interesting food for thought...

Hi Moms, I see some of you homeschool. I have two little girls ages 4 and 7. My older girl gets bullied alot my her so-called "best friend". I have no idea how to handle this. She goes to private school because I didn't want her to go to a school that has a broken system ( I live in California). I couldn't enroll her in a school where the number of english learning students out-numbered the rest of the kids. I am thinking about home-schooling, but have many concerns. When do your kids socialize and have fun?? I'm just scared that if I pull them out, they will be mad at me forever. Thanks to anyone that can help :)

Cyndy, thanks for the offer to help me navigate the homeschooling decision. I'll definitely take you up on that!

Monica, it's nice to "see" you here, and I hope to get to know you!

Hi there! I'm new to social groups like this... so I'm slow in learning. I'm a sahm, married for nearly 14 years. We have 7 children so far, and are homeschooling.. It's nice to meet some similarly minded ladies.
