Glenn Beck was interrupted by frequent raucous applause from the audience of the most vociferous Conservatives in the United States at their Conference in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Lee, I find your post a little troubling on several fronts...
Firstly, I'm not quite sure if you're 'dissing' Mr. Beck, or 'dissing' Republicans, or 'dissing' Americans?

Next, I'm not quite sure why you posted a picture of Mrs. Palin just to say she spoke at the conference in such FORMAL terms, and then to say the vague and somewhat casual statements about Mr. Beck?

Next, I find the lack of decorum in representing the picture of Mrs. Palin in her CPAC splendor, and the picture of Mr. Beck at his white board to be quite misleading and not a genuine representation of any comparison between the two?

Next, I wonder why you find it necessary to point out that Mr. Beck lacks a college education, and then go on to let us know that he is an 'alcoholic', implying that he is NOT educated, and that he is NOT a 'recovering alcoholic' (which he freely admits).

I saw Mr. Becks speech at CPAC. I had it on the DVR. I watched it several times.
And yes, he did speak at length at what he felt to be the 'real' problem with America... Progressive policies and their advocates.

Next, the link you provided as to the 'real story' behind The Statue of Liberty falls pitifully short.

Both you and the posted link fail to mention that 'Lady Liberty' is breaking free from the chains of tyranny. She does hold her light high to signify to the rest of the world that America is the home of the free, and the land of the brave.

And, the poem is not about immigration...
- Rather it is about FREEDOM and the resolve necessary to obtain it, and KEEP it!

The New Colossus

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
( NOT like the Colossus of Rhodes )

Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name, Mother of Exiles.

From her beacon-hand glows world-wide welcome;
Her mild eyes command the air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.

"Keep ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she with silent lips.

( She is saying we DO NOT subscribe to your ways! )

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Clearly, she is lighting the way to Freedom... NOT TO IMMIGRATION!!!
That is what Mr. Beck said during his speech at CPAC.

America stands for FREEDOM.

If you want to be free and abide by our rules, then you are welcome here.
ANY OF YOU that have been abused, tortured, or enslaved are welcome!

Just DO NOT try to change America into what you ran from!
WE WILL STOP YOU!

THAT is what Lady Liberty is saying Mr. Lee...

Either you did not listen to Mr. Beck's speech, or you failed to hear it's message...

If you take issue with any of this, Mr. Lee, I invite your commentary...
