Memorial Day is this Monday. While many will celebrate the weekend with hot dogs and cookouts, we need to remember that Memorial Day is a holiday in which we remember those in the military who have given their life for our country.

TCUnation salutes all those who have given their life, served and are serving in the United States military.

Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May (May 25 in 2009). “I’M SHOCKED AND NEED SOMEONE TO CONFIRM IF THIS IS TRUE”

The Real Newt Gingrich

The Real Newt Gingrich from Frank on Vimeo.

Newt Gingrich is often viewed as a conservative politician. This video is a speech John McManus, president of the John Birch society, gave which exposes the REAL Newt Gingrich by examining his track record and showing his true motivations. -> JBS.org/

WHO WAS JOHN BIRCH

The John Birch Society is a political advocacy group that supports what it considers traditionally conservative causes such as the private ownership of property, the rule of law and U.S. sovereignty but opposes globalism. The society is paleoconservative on the American political spectrum. Founded by Robert W. Welch Jr. in Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1958 the society was named after John Birch, a United States military intelligence officer and Baptist missionary in World War II, who was killed in 1945 by supporters of the Communist Party of China. Birch's parents joined the society as life members. Currently based in Appleton, Wisconsin, the society has local chapters in all 50 states. It owns American Opinion Publishing which publishes the journal The New American.

THINK HARD AT WHAT WE WENT THRU……9/11/2009 IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER

Do you remember 1987........

Thought you might be interested in this forgotten bit of information.........

It was 1987! At a lecture the other day they were playing an old news video of Lt. Col. Oliver North testifying at the Iran-Contra hearings during the Reagan Administration.

There was Ollie in front of God and country getting the third degree, but what he said was stunning! He was being drilled by a senator;

'Did you not recently spend close to $60,000 for a home security system?'

Ollie replied, 'Yes, I did, Sir.'

The senator continued, trying to get a laugh out of the audience,
'Isn't that just a little excessive?'

'No, sir,' continued Ollie.

'No? And why not?' the senator asked.

'Because the lives of my family and I were threatened, sir.'

'Threatened? By whom?' the senator questioned.

'By a terrorist, sir' Ollie answered.

'Terrorist? What terrorist could possibly scare you that much?'

'His name is Osama bin Laden, sir' Ollie replied.

At this point the senator tried to repeat the name, but
couldn't pronounce it, which most people back then probably couldn't. A couple of people laughed at the attempt. Then the senator continued.

'Why are you so afraid of this man?' the senator asked.

'Because, sir, he is the most evil person alive that I know of ' Ollie answered..

'And what do you recommend we do about him?' asked the senator.

'Well, sir, if it was up to me, I would recommend that an assassin team be formed to eliminate him and his men from the face of the earth.'

The senator disagreed with this approach. And, that was all that was shown of the clip.

By the way, that senator was Al Gore..

Also:

Terrorist pilot Mohammad Atta blew up a bus in Israel in 1986.
The Israelis captured, tried and imprisoned him. As part of the
Oslo agreement with the Palestinians in 1993, Israel had to agree to release so-called 'political prisoners.'

However, the Israelis would not release any with blood on their hands, The American President at the time, Bill Clinton, and his Secretary of State, Warren Christopher, 'insisted' that all prisoners be released.

Thus Mohammad Atta was freed and eventually thanked us by flying an airplane into Tower One of the World Trade Center . This was reported by many of the American TV networks at the time that the terrorists were first identified.

It was censored in the US from all later reports.

If you agree that the American public should be made aware of this fact, pass this on.

Do Not Break - it is almost 8 years strong. This is why I always say I love YOU....

This has not been broken since 9/11/01, please keep it going...

This has been kept alive and moving since 9/11. In memory of
all those who perished that morning; the passengers and the pilots on the United Air and AA flights, the workers in the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, and all the innocent bystanders. Our prayers go out to the friends and families of the deceased.

Send this to at least 10 people to show your support..

PLEASE DON'T BREAK IT !!!!!!

People need to start teaching their children about the REAL AMERICAN HEROS (not sports figures or musicians). If they are taught and infomed they would be just as excited to meet a vetren as they would be a sports star. I think their sacrifice has been taken for granted far to much.

I saw a piece on tv about Rolling Thunder. Pat Tillman was mentioned. I had to look him up.
Here is what I found in Wikipedia. There are 430,000 entries on the search page.

Thank you all our veterans and those who serve now.

I would like to thank our armed forces for the sacrifice they give. A special thank you to my Grampa who is no longer with us. He was in WW2 and in the later years in his dementia, that was the only thing he could remember correctly. He still had the helmet with the bullet h*** in it and after he died and we went through his papers he had 6 bronze stars. He never mentioned anything. So thank you all in the armed forces and special thanks to my friend Colie in Afghanistan, continue to stay safe.

My grandfather isn't with us any longer. However when he was here Memorial Day was one of those days that he would actually sit and talk about WWII. He did somethings that are still classified and well what he could say was inspiring.
This is the 30th Memorial Day with out him. I still remember riding with him and asking him why are there so many Poppies in your car Pop-Pop? He didn't say much, just those are for the ones that didn't come home. He and Grandimutter would buy or make paper Poppies every year. Just to hand out with one word. Remember.
Ironiclly enough we are also Jews. So the motto of "Never Forget" goes hand in hand with "Remember."
Remember
Shalom
Lisa
