I total agree with Laura, but Stabnow needs to go too!!!!! They have both been in way to long and its time we get someone with the right ideals in office to support Michigan.
While I too would like to see both of our Senators replaced, as well as several congressional seats, term limits are not the answer. First of all it would never apply to those currently holding office, they wouldn't let that happen, and when we do get a good conservative seated why would we want to force a replacement for that seat? Term Limits just limit your choices at election time. Find the right candidate, help get their word out and get them elected. Besides, a 3 years limit is useless as you would have nothing but rookies seated, most apt to be influenced by outside "advisers".
I disagree with Mr. Randall Brodzik. Our founding fathers never meant for political positions to become places of profit, which is exactly what they have become. They warned us that "places of profit" in politics and corruption go hand in hand. I say YES to term limits. It is our duty as free American citizens to take our turn serving our nation. More of us need to take up that mantal and bring every day values back to our VERY big government. We can accomplish this by getting new blood and new ideas into the seats of power on a regular basis.
