Hey there Nebraskans......Senator Tony Fulton will be having a Health Care Meeting at the front steps of the Capital Building, Lincoln on Monday August 3 at 12:00 (noon) to present info on what's in the Obamacare plan and what we can do to stop this health take over. Please attend and show your support.

Senator Fulton is also putting forth a resolution upholding the 9 & 10 Amendments for the State's Sovereignty

Your right Kate:
We would not, and could not use an online petition for any kind of legal action as in recall of a political figure etc. We are just using it to demonstrate support of the issue in order to gain a sponsor for it.
We do need to wonder how 39 states beat us on this issue. Says something about our state house I think.

Hi Greg:

Even if Mark does decide to sponsor this we need to get it through committee and then onto the floor. I think this is going to be an uphill battle. It amazes me that now 39 states are actively involved in this and we are still at ground zero. Nebraska, you gotta wonder.

Also do you know the opinion of online petitions? It is my understanding that we need to actually get signatures from folks for it to carry any weight. I could be wrong though on that...not sure just what I heard.

Besides us there is one other group actively working on this, hopefully all of us working will get this done. Good luck with your push.

Hi Kate
The Nebraska Sovereignty Resolution is close to getting a sponsor for the next session. We can help it along.

Hello everyone, my name is Kate and I wanted to introduce myself to the group. I joined because I am searching for like minded people to join with in my fight for Nebraska to pass a state's rights initiative. I fear for my country, I am not sure how we got to this point but know in my heart that I can longer remain silent and watch as the greatest country that ever existed slowly descends into a fascist state. I am truly afraid. I think our only hope is to DEMAND that our Constitution be respected and obeyed and that power be returned to where it rightfully belongs, the States and the PEOPLE. We have remained silent for too long and allowed others to push their ideals upon us. We must stop this now...

Please, please...join me in this battle.

THE SEAT BELT LAW
6-11-2009

When this law was first passed I thought it was an attack on me personally and my freedom in driving my car. Like not speeding sometimes I followed the law, and it was what I knew I had to do. So I buckled up, and put my seat belt on like everyone else. Now not giving much thought about it, it’s become a habit and not a safety issue. I was conditioned to conform to the laws of the land. One morning a friend of mine from the Army stopped by. I started to make him a cup of coffee and asked him to stay for some eggs. There was a little coffee left from the previous day. So I was going to throw it out, and make some fresh. Mike told me not do that, and just add the fresh to it. I told him you’re kidding. No he said; it was the hair of the dog, and he liked the flavor. So I did and he enjoyed his strange brew of coffee that morning. Another friend from TCU told me that Good preachers never make good politicians, and good politicians never make good preachers. He said you and I, and others like us, know that politics is not the answer to America's dilemma. Don't lose the faith or your spiritual witness! I thought about it and the strange brew of coffee. If we are going to rebuild a conservative political landscape I think it should be a fresh start. The bucket and trough of Kool-Aid the opposition drinks from has made them completely mad. Pollution of the heart will pollute the issues of life and a pure heart sees G-dly purpose as G-d directs the effort. Steven

Hello John, my name is Wendy and my husband and I are in Lincoln. We both come from a linage of Conservatives but they are all in other states so we don't have them close by and that's makes it tough when you really don't have support that's close by and we have very few friends who are conservatives. So I know what you mean. Can't talk too much now, need to go to work, but will talk more this afternoon. Have a good day.
