Melanie Miller will find out on April 14 if she has won the Mrs. America contest. If she wins, she will not be able to to join us on the 15th. For that reason... we hope she can't make it!

Master of Ceremonies will be Matt and Melanie Miller. Melanie, formerly Miss Ohio and currently Mrs. Ohio, is a finalist in the Mrs. America contest.
Featured speakers include Jim Quinn of the popular nationally syndicated Quinn and Rose show.

Ø Chris Long, President of the Ohio Christian Alliance
Ohio’s own folk singer/songwriter Annie Harpen of Cincinnati will be the featured musician. The program will include free giveaways, face painting for kids, and raffles.
Added Jim Woods, “This event will have something for everyone; those who come to be entertained, those who seek to become better informed, and those who seek to get involved. Our message to all is that We, the People are still in charge of our nation’s destiny.”

Today the Ohio House voted on Senate Bill 5 to reform collective bargaining for government employees. It is a critical element of Kasich's effort to balance Ohio's budget and resolve the $8 billion shortfall. Attached is a copy of the recorded vote. Also attached is a comparison of the bill as passed by the House today, comparied to the bill as it was passed by the Senate.
You may live in a district of one of the Republican Representatives who voted with the democrats against this important bill. If you do, please contact the Representative and let him know that you expect him to support efforts to regain control of spending in Ohio, and restore our state's financial integrity.

Dear Fellow Citizens and Taxpayers,
School choice is topic near and dear to the hearts of many fiscal conservatives and it lines up squarely with the core values of the tea party movement - fiscal responsibility, limited government, and free markets.

Ohio H.B. 136 provides parents with resources to choose the best educational environment for their children. This may be a public school, charter school, magnet school or private school. Families of four with an income of under $100,000 could qualify for these vouchers. In essense, monies currently allocated by the state to the respective school district would follow the child to their school of choice.
